For my part I think it’s not a real sign of grown mustang love, but rather a common thing about German bureaucracy- not enough columns and classes to proper reflect the reality. People in Germany seem to crossshop the mustang with other big coupes, therefore the slc/slk is the wrong car to compare and the mustang is

It’s comparing range topper with entry level, and the slk or slc is seen as the sportier entry level mercedes over here. And that's a friendly view, most people see them as a car for bored middle aged housewives and old people.

Good points, but you missed the central one: Drivers education,Germany has a qualified one, the states not.

The civilized world knows, only the US seem to have trouble with the concept of “snow tires” or “drivers knowledge/skills ”.

You’re right! And I needed a reason to post this pic!

Already available in Europe since a few years. Damn I have to rethink my prejudices about Americans. But you as a nation are still on a diet exclusively consisting of junk food or is not true either?

You’re right, but I doesn’t see it as ahead. This are just two different cultures of distribution. I just was under the impression that the possibility to finance is a must have in nearly every American business transaction.

This is a new thing for you in the States? I thought you are normally ahead of us Europeans in all things “finance”. Leases on used cars, often with extended warranties are a thing since a few years here now. Like for Mercedes “Junge Sterne” (young stars) program and the likes.

Profane things which emit frightening sounds are the worst. Drove my e24 around some time ago when away from home I heard a noise which sounded like something rubbing in the wheel arches, took a rest and checked. Nothing. So I started again and as soon as I got up to some speed there was the noise again. Stopped

Regarding common food culture Italy and France are awesome. I’m just stating that Germany isn’t as bad as people make it foodwise, you get a lot of good stuff from all over Europe here too. And as someone who grew up in the Rheingau I have to advocate. It’s Glühwein, hard word for every non native speaker, Umlaut and

Depends on the food, traditional German food is better than people think and the modern German cuisine is one of the best in the world, a whole lot of new Michelin stars for example...

He has the wrong number, it’s $71.

You get a whole lot of Currywurst for 65€ in Berlin, also you don't count the transaction costs. So going straight to curry 36 is the better deal.

By the way the price of one Daimler share is at about 62,5 € which are around 71 USD, which is definitely not $3,25.

Da müssen wir wohl ganz andere Saiten aufziehen!

Porsche!

I test drove the old mini jcw convertible, I didn't like it, but I can understand the appeal to certain people. Personally I would get annoyed by it over time, but that doesn't mean I don't understand why people could be really happy with it...

Built by a multi national team under multi national leadership as global concept (“one ford”), they may have met mainly in the US but this is an example of a true global car. The fusion/Mondeo is just the absolute wrong car to claim single national ownership of.

Saying the Mondeo is the EU version of the fusion is as right or wrong as saying the Fusion is the US version of the Mondeo. Neither is a derivative. They were simultaneously developed from one platform and adapted from there for two different markets!

I did it too. But the trick is to still own a reliable and cheap first car. Our Suzuki Swift, which we bought new is really cheap to maintain, so we can sink everything we save there in our German 80s coupe. Although, living in Germany it seems that here are still more mechanics, who still know how to work on those.
