Seems far more fair to eliminate interest than the debt. School costs should be lower as well.  I have no interest in paying for the football team’s new workout room

So is the problem loans, or cost? Paying off debt doesn’t solve the cost. In fact macro economics suggests all the extra money in the system will make it worse.  everyone will have more free cash, prices go up. 

What would you do with your changed lives?  I think there needs to be some kind of compensation.  Community service, whatever.  But getting off with a big ‘whooopty doooo’ and buying that new audi might not be the best approach to the rest of us that actually paid our debt as asked.  Especially if that education came…

It’s true that if you live in an expensive place, you have less money to pay debt.  It’s also true that you can MOVE and not have kids.  Poor choices are not an excuse.  I think it’s great to help people who make the right efforts but if you choose to live in san fran, so it goes

If you pay off the debts of people who are behind, I want cash for paying mine off early, rather than buy a house.
