I’ve been wondering for a while now, why didn’t Nintendo, via the 5.5.2 update, make it so the WiiU stores its last cached data in a permanent location and, when it can’t retrieve new Miiverse data, loads that last cached data forever?
Isn’t that better than the offline mode?

And very few people will remember where it all started :-(

I just signed the petition.
Thanks for everything you are doing. Keep up the good work!

Yes, exactly what I always said about Miiverse.
There were a lot of posts that, given it’s contents, would only have gotten insults in regular social networks like facebook, but not on Miiverse.
Miiverse really brought the best out of each one of us.

Your post is exactly, word by word, of what I thought of Miiverse. Specially the last paragraph.
I’m also grateful to have been a part of it. But it makes me sad that there are a lot of people who missed their chance to try it and now it’s too late.
I was also there until the last minute. It was 3AM where I live.

Perhaps in the near future, Nintendo will realize how great Miiverse truly was and bring a new version for the Switch.
Still, all of the 3DS and WiiU content will be lost, but at least, we will have Miiverse back.

I will truly miss it.
