In my experience, men idealize Asian women and women idealize French women.

pond-side-over, I agree. I have so often heard snarky comments from UK people about how backward the US is as far as prudery and the like. So I have been very surprised to find that the UK is not a liberated, progressive paradise for women.

I'm a French woman and I can tell you that we know about it and while some of us are flattered (and French people, although they complain a lot, are very chauvinistic, so any compliment will do), but we mostly know this is BS written to make money on American women. Sorry, gals.

I think you mean "as a woman". I'm middle-aged and not particularly attractive, and when I hit an ER last year saying "I've been feeling sick for a week, lost like 10lb, and now I'm vomiting", they were like "It is no biggie". 2 days later I was in a coma cause it was T1 diabetes.
