Your post reminded me about the supposed DOHC superiority that has always bothered me. Unless you’re displacement constrained, such as taxes or racing organization rules, there’s not much argument in favor of it for V-configuration engines. (Inline engines don’t get the same amount of size and weight benefit.)

Top Gear Series 15, Episode 2 (BMW e36 vs Mercy Berky 190) will have another say in that. Poor James....

Is this a Canadian thing?

Damn! Cherokee floated for a lot longer than I expected....

It’s not like he was driving an old Mercury with a Cessna airplane engine in it.

this guy sounds like an awesome neighbor, I’m not sure what their issue is other than maybe noise? I know you get enough people working on stuff at night it can get to be a ruckus of good cheer and fun.

I’m not a car guy whatsoever. I came here from Gizmodo.

Hell, if I was his neighbor, I would buy another classic car.

I’ll move in next door. My car is on its last legs, and it would be nice to have a mechanic nearby. I’m totally car/tools incompetent, but I would love to learn, and this guy sounds like he might actually be open to teaching a total newbie.

The nephews house is for sale, you can make that happen.

HOA fees go to the maintenance of the test track, chassis dyno, and to fund a lending specialty tool exchange. Like a neighborhood library but for tools you might need once every few years.

You’re a terrible person and my wife is going to be furious at you soon.

I usually end up putting the tire under the car as an extra back up if I am pulling off the tires even with jack stands. The jack stands would have been ideal but he could have at least put the tire under the car.

I live in an area like that. It’s horribly boring. I only know of 1 road within a 3-hour radius of our house that has a curve too sharp to take at the posted speed limit.

I don’t even understand how this was possible.

It’s good to see all the people Russian to the car.

eventually I realized what was intended.

Hey, Koolaid!
