The problem with bicycle and sport bike scenes is that the equivalent of F1 cars is actually within reach and somewhat usable daily. So people tend to buy bleeding edge equipment just to keep up and the gap between “I’m here to have a good time.” and “I paid this money to win.” ends up being absolutely massive.
