The video in #2 is why I hate Talledega and Daytona. One person makes a minor mistake, 12 other people pay for it.
I bet that guy got fired on the spot. Then rehired immediately afterwards so they could fire him again.
Admittedly, when I bought my Dakota I did a test drive (a year earlier) to make sure the car was actually something I'd enjoy. The Corvair's test drive was literally around a building.

In my cousin's case, it was a BRAND NEW never owned GTO for $1000 less than the G6 in the show room.
When my cousin picked up his '06 GTO in '07, he couldn't understand why anyone would pay more for a G6 coupe.
The "$1/year" wages are because they have to be paid something. Though in the case of some like Steve Jobs, it's about making the stock they already have worth a mint.
CEO wages and earnings are vastly different. One year the CEO of my company earned $500,000.
