@Paper-Cut: I think more people understand ROMs than you think. Imagine a PC that came with Ubuntu but would become unusable if you installed Fedora instead. The hardware was setup to reject every other OS. It wouldn't even let you install the newest version of Ubuntu until it was ready to give it to you.

I'd like to see a major phone software developer come along with a real commitment to open source, not this half assed marketing bullshit that Google is pulling.
