Congrats Simmers, it’s been a long time coming.
Or we can have a discussion where we compare one design to another, where we can learn from each game and discuss what works and what doesn't for different players. We can share stories and discuss.
The sea doesn't have the depth and range (pun intended) of things to explore that the land has. There's a shipwreck and a ruin here or there, but it simply can't be as fun or fluid as exploring the land.
I do like it, but I have to hop off the ship to really play the game. It’s quite limited what you can actually do on the ship.
I’m really struggling to like this one as much as Origins. Exploring the world doesn't seem to flow as well, I think because the towns and cities are divided up into islands. The story also seems less engaging.
It’s obviously great to see Hudson prioritise the health of their staff. It seems that Bioware has systemic problems going all the way back to its heyday, and these need to be fixed.
I was such a fan of the series until ACIII. It just felt very clunky, poorly paced and the environment was lacking in anything interesting. I’m sure the game got better as you went on, but I couldn’t stay motivated to get that far.
I wonder how long players stick with these kind of games on average?
I would buy a Switch for that so fast you wouldn't even see the blue shell approach.
“Great” is an opinion based on playing the 3 Fable games. Obviously there are plenty of people who enjoyed the series.
I was being subjective, obviously.
I’m much more shocked at Press Play’s closure than Lionhead’s. Unfortuntely, the Fable series was never great and it seemed the reception to Legends was pretty cold.
While it is no doubt a cost saving measure, Far Cry 4's map was pretty damn good so why not start there? Also, this means it could be the same location in two different time periods.
The trailer music is very Professor Layton-meets-BBC Sherlock in the beginning before turning in a newer Pokemon-esque theme, I’m hoping that’s a pretty good overview of the game itself.
Alto’s Adventure is so much fun, really good recommendation. I couldn’t get into Downwell, but I don’t think it’s my kind of game.
I’m hoping Nintendo mobile titles can be affordable (read: below $5) titles and NOT Free to Play. I don’t despise F2P out of hand, but I think Nintendo IPs have the ability to turn the App Store and especially Google Play away from this price race-to-zero. A bunch of Mario games priced between $0.99 and $4.99 would be…
If that’s true, then I think I’ve lost all interest. A Star Wars themed Battlefield is nice, but it’s not the game I’m looking for. I imagine the AT-AT we saw is a “levelution” event or whatever they call it, too. Such a shame.
No single player campaign? That’s a shame. Please tell me there’s at least space combat.
I had some fun toying around with the traffic, but not really any major problems. It could do with some fixes, but I don't think it's really broken in any way. I was able to download a micro roundabout mod from Workshop which really helped. I'm having a few issues with controls, especially hooking up new power lines…
