I basically just can't read the comments at Kotaku any more. They're too awful.

Yeah, exactly. And applicator tampons are common in France as well, so I'm not sure where the "applicators don't exist in Europe" thing comes from.
I dislike non-applicator tampons not because I'm uncomfortable with my body (believe me, I'm all up in that!) or afraid of germs. It's because they're uncomfortable to insert on all but my heaviest-flow days. I have a problem with vaginal dryness and since cotton absorbs moisture... it's just not much fun and…
I'm a plus-size girl and this bothers me a lot. Firstly, it's irritating because the mannequins in plus-size stores are usually several sizes smaller than the smallest size that they offer, which isn't very helpful. And I'm usually trying to find the most hourglass-shaped clothing I can - tops that won't pooch around…
I don't disagree with you, but I think it's harder to find truly ethical/cruelty-free foie gras than that article implies. The reason that foie gras production has been outlawed in 13 EU countries as well as Turkey and Israel, along with California, is because the vast majority of farms are not like the one featured…
I would wear the hell out of these! And I hate both high heels and trashy romance novels.
There seems to be a weird level of defensiveness in the comments here. Is it really so difficult to accept that there are different degrees of mistreatment of the animals that we eat as food? I know several omnivores who won't eat veal or foie gras just like I know some that won't eat battery hens and others that are…
I'm totally with you on this! I live in the UK and could probably think of 5-6 places to get straight-sized ethically sourced clothing, but can't think of a single place to find the same options in plus sizes. It's really frustrating! Especially since we're often paying extra for our clothes already...
They had these when my husband was undergoing chemotherapy. It doesn't work for all types of chemo and it doesn't work as well for everyone taking the same kind of chemo, but it's an amazing innovation! And everyone would talk about it, since he had his treatment at a pretty big hospital and you'd be sitting around…
Me too - sweaty people unite!
I think at that point there's no reasonable way to reuse them. I guess you could use the lace as a peter pan collar or something, but honestly you'd be wearing your newly transformed sweater and wondering whether ismelled like crotch sweat the whole time. Or maybe that's just me.
I was just coming here to say that... what is going on in this picture?? Also, the elbow resting on the butt must have been uncomfortable for the both of them.
. Bra fitting is only offered for mastectomies, nursing women and post-op breast reductions or augmentations. There was a suggestion in 2007 that the NHS should offer bra fittings to everyone in order to reduce surgeries, but it never happened.

I thought it's been great this year, but then I enjoyed last year too so you may not agree.
Wow, looks like my summer reading list just got MUCH larger! Thanks!!
Uglies took me longer to like because I think it brought up a lot of uncomfortable emotions about my own self-image. But by the time I finished it I loved the series - and I want to send copies to every teenage girl in the world!
And now my own typo is cracking me up. If you lived the Hunger Games, I doubt you're down for reading more dystopian fiction!
How about a "if you lived Hunger Games, you love these books" thread?
Yeah, I was thinking that after I posted my comment. I think part of the reason I find it difficult to judge the age of women in movies is not because they look 'old' but exactly the opposite - they look somehow ageless.
