I recently went to look at a TTS at a used car section of a mainstream car dealer. The price online was pretty good, but with comps a little further away at a few thousand less, I was hoping I could negotiate a little. I get to the lot and the car is priced $7000 more than the online price. I promptly left as I

When Apple Maps was new, and when Apply wouldn’t let you use Google Maps, I had a few frustrating trips. One trip to a Total Wine and More outside of Wilmington, DE led me to a dead end in the middle of a rough part of the city. I sat there in my car trying to figure a way out.

I’m really excited for this car. It will be exciting to see this and and AM-RB 001 duke it out. I haven’t been this excited about a new supercar since the McLaren F1.

AND with the front of the engine facing the firewall, with a chain driving the transmission which was mounted under the engine.

Didn’t Aspen use Volvo XC90s after they stopped using Saabs?

Until the failsafe fails and strands the driver even though he is unplugged. The system gets bypassed and never used again.

Until the driver doesn’t unplug and destroys it. Truck drivers destroy everything, dock doors, dock plates, wheel chucks, the grass, guardrails, entry gates, the trucker’s lounge toilet...

None were union

Places I have been either had their own trucks for distribution or had a contract with a company for logistics. Charging while docked might only work in those scenarios.

Everywhere I worked (manufacturing and Distribution) trucks sat for hours for a full load

Technology is always getting better. If they can do a 20min plugged in charge in the future, it could be possible for faster inductive charging. I know some electric busses use inductive charging just for a few seconds at bus stops.

No cord with inductive charging. I wouldn’t trust a truck driver to unplug either. I have seen too many trucks pull away while chocked or dock locked

Everywhere I worked (manufacturing and Distribution) trucks sat for hours for a full load

Loading docks could have inductive charging so the trucks get topped off while uploading. If they can charge in an hour, they should be able to get a full charge if dropping anything more than a few pallets. It would be seamless, no fuel stops.

I have a europlate on my car, it doesn’t say anything witty, just has numbers like a real Munich plate. It is my defense against bad parkers in Philly. I replace the plate once a year, rather than have visible damage in the center of my bumper.

So, for $15k I can get a 2013 Miata Sport with low miles. Or I could get a one year old ND Miata Sport for $4k more.

Top speed is low but the rest of those numbers are very respectable.

The answer is “all of them.” Buy all the cars.

MIATA!!!

I am a huge VW fanboy and other than the Golf/Sportwagon/GTI/R, I can’t think of any other car in their lineup that I would like to own or would recommend to someone else? Want a small crossover? Get a CX-5? Want a bigger crossover? Get a CX-9. Want a Midsize Sedan? Mazda 6. Want a hot hatch? Go check out VW and
