I agree, american muscle cars are awesome machines in their own right, but could american manufacturers please stop trying to make everything "faux". The "faux" leather on the dashboard, the "faux" chrome etc really makes it feel cheap. If you are going to use plastic, be proud of it. If you are going to use

interesting, it is on the long side, so i do not have enough time now, but maybe I can read it this weekend:)

I know, it is just at a certain point (~2:20) the whole car seems like a wave. I am also guessing the camera wasn't worlds best(interlacing maybe). However the car is interesting. It was just me who wanted to leave a smart ass comment:)

woble woble

damn, I am jealous . I wish I could built an engine like that

well, if I could by a bmw without the associations i wouldn't hesitate. Hell I would love a 4 door with a nice engine and handeling that looked like a regular car. So when commuting I would not stand out, but when on the open road I would be able to switch a lever, and bam! beautiful exhaust note and lot's of power

well, when I was a student i had a license(it's expired now, needs to refreshed every 5 years and since I graduated, I became white collar:) ) and the rules are indeed the correct ones, however, most of the time we ignored them(simply thinking a bit can help a lot) for example, one day the truck of a colleague

ok, i should have waited till the end posting all comments and grouped them, but them, i don't know wether to laugh or to be sick

jesus, fucking christ, just saw the cutting a man in half, this video keeps getting sicker

ok just saw the lost hand part, damn that is a sick video

jesus, the part with the cutter is disturbing

I was not aware of the HST2 project (not from the uk;) ) but a quick search on wikipedia/google enlightened me and indeed, it has all the markers of becoming, as you say, a complete shit.

hmm the max speed ever achieved with that is 238 km/h according to wikipedia not the 570km/h the tgv achieved. But on low volume lines fossil fuels are the way to go, whereas on highly congested lines the investment in wire pays itself. But you are right, my wording was not entirely correct.

I the film he states the train holds the record for fastest self propelled train, but according to wikipedia, the prototype of the tgv ran on gas and hit a top speed of 198 mph

you would be surprised what a couple of engineers and some good welders/technicians can achieve in a month. It was a proof of concept, so probably a structure under the engine to tie them to the chassis(i am imagining a giant tripod)(and to not let them fly away with just the roof) fuel could be stored in containers

I think because there is seating accommodation in the power car, it counts as a train. Here we have single power car trains that run the low volume lines to small villages. They are called trains, although they are basically busses on tracks, albeit long ones.

well, it just seems not very thought out. As if there was no plan, just meh straight trough. I can understand greece not being able to redevelop it yet because of the economic downturn, but when the economy recovers and the land is redeveloped, the line will be a hassle to redevelop around. It just seems smarter of

is it just me or did they run train tracks over the runway just south of the autocross?

I have driven citroens and am happy to inform they have become more "normal"(just their satnav system is a mess imo) But then again, the later models of saab where also more "normal". But damn, I have looked up the citroen sm (was it the successor to the ds?) and it's a nice looking car. Citroen used to be more

holy shit, I hope nobody got hurt. We europeans like to think we are better at driving, however, I think it just has to do with the type of tranny that is the most used . Ie with an automatic, if you press the wrong pedal, the car shoots forward. With a manual, ussually when you are trying to brake, you have already
