I live close to Dallas, and I vaguely recall a news story about her participating in a trial, which people thought was to prove that she was okay- it was after her first or second leave of absence, if I’m remembering correctly.

Your condescending “reading comprehension” comments aren’t relevant when you don’t make sense.

When it comes to violence against women by men though, that is still a taboo.

I agree with you on the first point- everyone has their own biases, some simply out of ignorance, whether they know them or will admit to them or not. The internet is a really easy forum for jumping on people. I can say I try not to jump on bandwagons, but if I agree with it, I’ll jump as well, to be honest.

The thing that bugs me is that people throw out innocent until proven guilty in the same way they use the 1st amendment- in the wrong way. Yes, in our criminal courts you are theoretically innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, just like the 1st amendment protects your right to free speech from the

“I used to think that ‘innocent until proven guilty’ was the American way. But now social media makes that decision for you,” says Whoopi.

Jump in with a “Fuck” in between the Trumps. Develop a nice little rhythm and then smile.

I think Kim could do Marilyn if she wanted, I just find Kanye irritating because he seems to feel the need to diminish other people for doing what they do and being successful at it. (I’m not really a Taylor Swift fan, and that was a dick move.)

You’re a badass. You deserve all the cookies and the stars.

When I worked in the shelter I was truly amazed by the amount of women that had bypassed paps because of their husbands. It’s some messed up shit.

Yes. The correct alternative would be to stay away from the gynecologist because nobody should be touching your vagina except your husband.

I cannot fucking stand these people. They should not be able to accost people who are already dealing with a stressful situation.

Considering that some courts/judges still like to dictate that the women attorneys have to wear skirts in their courtroom, I don’t see the court stepping up on this one.

I think the one near us lasted less than a year.

Wait. What.

Your link doesn’t really show anything. It’s some mismatched stats thrown together to try to prove the point you’re working hard to prove right now, but it’s not a study, and it’s not even very relevant. They looked at governors and prison rates for wildly different time frames in different states. There was nothing

From the report:

The prison system in America has become a continuation of black/brown oppression

True, but if women weren’t being arrested then those crimes wouldn’t have been tracked. So in my head it goes something like this (because this happened to my mom in the 70s) a guy and girl are busted for weed, guy gets arrested, girl’s parents get called. Or, since quite a few arrests for drugs are started with some

I’m tired, so I don’t know how well this will turn out, but I’m wondering how much of this is can be somewhat explained by the evolution of the role of women in our society- more autonomous and independent- and maybe also seen as capable of committing crimes? I hope that makes sense. There were fewer women employed
