I feel like if you’re a professional critic/blogger/whatever that you’d be more prepared for dealing with backlash. Like, all I do is comment occasionally and I’m used to dealing with people that don’t agree with me.

You know, I only have two guys that will go see scary or gory movies with me. The rest have no qualms admitting that they don’t enjoy those movies at all.

So based on his reaction, I’m going to assume that men can’t handle being criticized for the stupid shit that they write and overreact in ways that include comparing said criticism to fascist dictatorships and various forms of brutality towards various animals.

Right, because there are no white straight males in politics anymore.

ISIS targets what they consider “apostates”- Muslim people who adopt Western ways. ISIS specifically stated one of the reasons they targeted Paris and the concert was due to a large number of these people. Paris did not happen because there was a large disaffected population of Muslims who refused to assimilate,

So much yes- wait, not literally. I can’t stand the man.

More relevant. Thanks for the info.

Apparently states don’t have legal authority to deny entry into the state (even though they think they do), but can deny the funding needed to do it? Catholic Charities here in Texas has said that for now they will not be processing Syrian refugees because of Abbot.

Technically I think that if the federal government decided to do it they maybe could? You really don’t have any constitutional rights if you aren’t on U.S. soil. So I’m not really sure honestly, but there’s a list of inadmissibility grounds for entering the U.S.- like, people with communicable diseases, prostitutes,

U.S. authorities are seeking to revoke the citizenship of an Oregon imam who they say tried to conceal past associations with radical Islamic groups.

Can they do this, or is it just posturing? I thought immigration law fell under federal law, and refugee status is a legal immigrant status, so can they just say nope, sorry, legal immigrants, you can’t come to our state?

I get what you’re saying, but all of that (wills and estates laws, family law) falls into laws under the states. I don’t see a problem if they want to mediate or something like that under Sharia law and have it fall within states’ guidelines (possibly similar to pastoral counseling), but to think that Sharia law would

I’m all for diversity, and I’ll be first in line to fight for everyone’s religious freedoms within reason.

I worked in a daycare for a couple of years while I was doing my undergrad. They hired me part-time (no benefits, no paid time off) and then proceeded to schedule me 40-50 hours a week (I was not the only one). And this was one of the really nice ones. And got super irritated when I told them after a few months that I

It depends on the daycare. Some centers will let you bring kids for free (rare), some at a discount, and some won’t discount at all.

I suppose a Kardashian enthusiast (the book’s target audience) might appreciate these faux lessons and mantras. Literally no one else would.

Now playing

I hate the fucking people that think if they keep repeating themselves over and over again that they’ll get what they want. Saying it won’t make shit appear. Hasn’t happened to me with a million dollars, won’t work for you and your stupid soup.

I live in Texas. If they’re hurting for religious folks, we have a few here.

Yes to all of that, and the worst for me are the sickness one-uppers. Like, they try to beat you out for the worst sickness. “You might have lupus, but you never seem sick. Now, MY IBS is terrible. I’d take lupus over this any day.”

Hey friend!
