He is adorable and quirky and that is a winning combination.

Is he trying to impress us with FLAG DAY? No offense to minor "National Holidays" but if you don't get a day off from school/work, no one cares. Hell, even Presidents' Day gets car sales.

I am bookmarking this post for when I eventually (probably) have children, because y'all are commenting some awesome names I wouldn't think of otherwise.

@NoaB: According to an ex-boss who was from India, his name was traditionally female, but none of us employees knew.

@TheyCallMeSwamper: oh I like that tradition! although, my mother's maiden name, while potentially gender-neutral, brings to mind a crappy '06 rom-com when used as a first name. dammit.

@ChineapplePunk: well, because using "gay" as the ultimate insult to someone you find disrespectful is totally NOT homophobic at all...

omg Zooey and Mindy = my dream tea party.

@AlFuncoot: There are definitely bad editors/producers out there. The TV station I worked for was trying to start a reality show when I escaped, and I can't imagine the questionable shit the boss has probably made people do for it (I only heard about the first failed attempt where all the contestants walked out)

I'm an editor, I've worked for TV, and while you can certainly highlight things and create a certain feel to situations, you cannot create footage where there is none (although sometimes you wish you could.) I do a lot of wedding videos now, and took a shot of the bride & groom kissing and her sort of wincing away

@ritualtheory: we were posting similar things at practically the same time. user pics totally color my perceptions of the posts.

Sometimes the user pics on Twitter make the tweet slightly awesomer (example: while this is one of the less-funny Sarah Silverman tweets, IMHO, her little mischievous face makes it slightly funnier) and other times they make it bizarre (example: Latoya Jackson's huge grin while posting in memory of her friend)

Secret Lives of Women did an episode on international dating schemes (more than a few times compared to "mail-order brides" during the episode) where they had these "parties" set up in the Ukraine and Russia that young women who wanted to get married would go to to meet rich, eligible, often much older gentlemen.

@newyorkmuse: Those are really good guidelines, but it really is case-by-case. I used to work at an animal shelter, and we always told people to restrict the cat at first, etc. (I find it's best to keep the new cat, regardless of current cats or not, in a bathroom with litter, etc. Smaller space, easy to clean, they

Jezzies, I have found a new favorite thing!

@jandlecack: I think there was nowhere to go even if they let them out. they even let people get off at one station, but there was no promise of how they'd get home.

I like the immediacy of Twitter, but it is so frustrating trying to read through his attempts at brevity.

@Sprinks: I posted this upthread as well. It seems like there's a bit of confusion about what queer means in this context...

@jbrecken: I think the thing people are reacting to is your understanding of what this girl is asking. The "queer umbrella" is not the case here.
