I mean Biden is a screw up but he isn’t worse than HRC as a candidate. It’s a low bar but Biden clears that one. Biden will be effective in the rust belt states and with unions no matter how much he mis-steps on basic statements and sentences. 

When Biden botches it, I actually think the Biden vote shifts to Amy Klobuchar. She has shown to be very competent, direct and effective and will reach that same voter. 

Warren botched the native American thing about as bad as a politician possibly could have. That is how much of the general public knows her at this point and in an election against Trump, she hasn’t shown she knows how to deal with a troll.

If you are a W2 employee they should mail you your pre-populated documentation and tell you what you owe or are owed. If you screw it up or don’t pay, they let you know so they’re already doing the work.

Government agencies, namely the FDA and DEA is more responsible for the opioid epidemic than anything else. Purdue is obviously a villian here but the DEA and FDA could have shut this thing down in 2008 at the latest, if they were actually doing their job. 

PHRMA does a lot of things but chief among them is to lobby in the interest of its members. Single payer would almost certainly mean reduced costs on most drugs via limiting supply selection but that would ultimately result in significant industry consolidation via mergers, acquisitions, and companies folding.

I was working in Chicago the year the White Sox won the world series. The team was fantastic and tickets were cheap and easy to get. The Cubs were terrible and tickets were expensive and scarce. The White Sox do alright but are a distant second to the Cubs in Chicago even with a newer park. Population is one thing but…

Ahead of the mid-terms, Pelosi was largely getting praise for her handling of the president and not backing down on the shut-down. She had a clear strategy to win and her leadership kept the party in-line, on point and executed against the strategy. The mid-terms were a success because of Pelosi’s leadership.

If the government stopped paying these benefits then do you expect WalMart would increase wages?

A locality based cost of living adjustment, while I understand the merit of what it would achieve would basically subsidize some areas at the expense of others.

So then by this logic if the government cuts this aid, Wal-Mart will pay its employees more?

Bill Clinton’s actions that Gillibrand said he should have resigned his office over, weren’t in question and were well known both when she made this statement but also when she had him campaign for her while she was running for senate.

That isn’t corporate welfare though, Wal-Mart isn’t receiving government money (not in this context at least). Their employees are receiving welfare for their benefit.

So Sanders is advocating at a shareholder meeting, that Wal-Mart, a company running on thin margins, should pay employees significantly more per hour, which would reduce earnings per share and the value of Wal-Mart shares? .... Good Luck

Because when she was running for the senate, she welcomed Bill Clinton’s support and endorsement on the campaign trail. This was long after his impeachment. She didn’t say he should have resigned until years later after she went after Franken, and saying that about Bill Clinton became politically convenient. 

Without the treatment there is no guarantee that someone will die. Thats how procedures or treatment is defined as life saving.
