HUDs are brilliant. They put the most pertinent information (speed, directions, shift lights, etc.) in the best possible spot, where you don't have to take your eyes off the road. I hope every car eventually has this standard.

It's not for getting in to first, it matches engine RPM to input shaft speed for a selected gear while you are moving.

Is it not somewhat redundant to have the gif posted TWICE immediately above the video? I get using gifs for the front page but posting it again in the article right above the video seems like a little much no?

Why is Japan regularly releasing great cars that are pathetically underpoewred? So much awesome is being held back for no real reason at all as I can see?

It appears things are very different here than in Deutschland....911 (and M3 and S4) drivers tend to fall in to one of the following category's: spoiled rich kid who needs the PDK because they've never worked a clutch before or mindless exec who bought it because he needed to maintain status in the parkade at work.

Define "better car" for me and I can answer which one is best. If you mean all out performance, the Porsche wins by a mile. If you mean total cost of ownership the ST is a the clear winner. Reliability? Probably the Ford again. Prestige, that would be Porsche. So, no I didn't say the Ford was a better car because

"At the end of the day, you're still driving a ford Econobox."

I remember that figure too, but I can't understand what causes the price to rise so much. Is it simply the need to not undercut the GT-R with a more luxurious 4 door version being cheaper?

Maybe it's different in the states but in Canada I have never, ever seen a "Cadillac" dealership?

This was my thought exactly. Who wants to sit at a desk doing a deal on their $90,000 luxury SUV while a 17 year old is in the cubical next to you buying his first Chevy Sonic?

So 40% of all gun sales are via "family or friend"? Maybe if you consider that guy you met through the classifieds who was advertising a gun for sale your "friend".

The funny thing about laws? Most are not enforced. When you look at the sheer amount of legislation that exists in America there are millions of infractions everyday that go without any notice or care form enforcement officials.

Instead, due to finite and often limited resources, "enforcement priorities" are

Depends where you live. Prices in California are double Washington and Hawaii is triple.

How's the understeer with those pizza cutter front tires?

Says the guy constantly cheerleading for zee Germans (and most often BMW). You've proved my point.

For an enthusiast looking for a track-ready driving experience a luxurious interior is about 89th on the list of priorities.

Badge whores? No.
Enthusiasts? Yes.

So I guess it boils down to who really buys M3's? Status seeking posers or those passionate about performance.

Because the reason kids "enjoy" these fart cans is they falsely believe it causes others to think their cars are somehow high performance when they are almost universally not. Hence, this is the essence of being a poser. Pretending to be something you're not.

Except that the current administration has said it will not interfere with legal marijuana in states that have approved it unless it contradicts one of its other enforcement priorities ( http://www.justice.gov/iso/opa/resour… ).

So pretty much no, the DEA isn't going to knock on your door in Washington or Colorado
