It mattered when cars did it in 15 seconds and then 12 and when they broke 10 pretty much all the way down to about 3 seconds. Since then they’ve really not been hyped but anyone except a couple of carco marketing guys.

Well “long way” is subjective. It took 5+ years to get here (Leaf to Bolt) but I think some of the current technologies have been or are nearing their maximum capabilities. There will need to be further innovation which I’m confident will happen but it’s likely reasonable to assume were looking at another 5 years to…

When I’m on a long road trip somewhere peeing usually takes about 1-3 mins depending on how close the crapper is to the parking lot or rest stop and I usually snack on stuff behind the wheel.
