FYI: the salesman don't have any facilities or services. The dealership does. And the dealership is still being paid.

This one seems easy...ban the lifting of anything that has a licensed GVWR of more than say 10,000lbs. That way the Cherokees, Samurai, etc. can have their off-road fun and the asshat bro-truck coal rollers cant build their douchemobiles.

annoying that your comments arent working correctly. For some reason if you attempt to add a video (from youtube) after clicking "publish" it just says "publishing" for a few seconds and then goes back to a blinking cursor. Doesnt publish anything.

Maybe I'm dense, but what really is the point of building a concept that has no attachment or extension to any car they will ever produce? I know most concept cars never make it to production, but the majority are design exercises that are then toned down, made practical from a manufacturing and cost sense and finally

She gets asshole of the year for transporting a school age child on 2 wheels. The rest is just extra douchesauce to add to here assholeness.

Following road tests by mags demonstrating actual, real world driving (excluding the hooning required to generate performance stats) I'll be surprised if this thing surpasses 20MPG city/hwy combined.

Yep. You nailed it. There has been pretty much no advancements in cars from the Model A until the Prius. In order to innovate you must hybrid. If a car isn't a hybrid it shouldn't exist today. Because hybrid. HYBRID DAMNIT!!!!

Was this a press car or an off the showroom floor model? If it was a press car these numbers aren't worth much (they could end up being accurate but I never trust a press car).

well, the engineers seem to have done some pretty incredible things with these regulations since, um, the fall out of 2009 when they received the wake up call that was "quit sitting on your ass and build some decent cars instead of regurgitating the same crap with slightly updated interiors and exteriors"

I'm not saying all automotive engineers are lazy, quite the opposite. There are some incredible engineering feats being accomplished today in terms of light weight chassis and efficient engines. But much of the bloat that accumulated over the years could have been mitigated even as new safety and equipment became

It never did use a Nissan power plant. It used a RME plant from the Chevy Cruze WTCC. The only thing Nissan on the engine was the throttle body off a Juke.

There is nothing that annoys me more than the EXCESSIVE bloat that has taken place for virtually every car over the last 20 years. I know increased safety standards are partly to blame but a lot of it is lazy engineers. Just because america is getting fatter does that mean all NA market cars must get fatter too?

Isn't "Moving up market" just marketing slang for "we're raising prices"?

Same price? MSRP must be a lot different in the states. Starting price on a 3 Sport GX in Canada is $17k the 5 door Golf starts at $21.5k

Or could it be that they lied and said it had a "real" 5.8 when in fact it didnt

I totally agree Jason. In the eyes or marketers and PR men/women there is no such thing as lying any more. It's just a matter of perspective. As long as you don't get called out on it it is in fact real....

By no means do I love this car but:

The Lincoln MKZ has been the opposite of what you'd call a "sales success" so far this year. Lincoln expects all of that to change in April. When sales figures are released later today, they expect that the Fusion-based sedan will have a big jump in sales.

PLEASE STOP WITH THE GIGANTIC ANIMATED GIFS. IT'S ANNOYING AS SOMEONE TYPING IN ALL CAPS.

Last week, electronic car maker Tesla announced a bunch of changes to its service and warranty policy that will make it easier for customers to take care of their Model S cars. Since then, the stock is up 5.73%, and it's at new 52-week highs. This is a headache for a ton of people on Wall Street as Tesla is a really
