Thanks for the bait-and-switch video. Hope your buddy with the Youtube account shares some of his click revenue Travis.

Uh...hide from who? Maybe the teenage car booster who lives around the corner but every mentioned place to hide stuff on this list is checked within the first minutes of any law enforcement search.

Can you also use your maths to explain how to unify the 4 forces of the universe? Cause apparently there are some other guys having a tough time making those maths work....you probably also believe that a Ford C-Max gets 44mpg dont you? The maths prove it!!! ;)

Fanbois much? Fact is that it isnt tyre engineering holding back the top speed of the veyron. There are many tires that have spun at greater speeds. Full stop. And further there isnt a jurisdiction anywhere in the world (including the ultra litigious 'merika) that would find in favour of a driver who either a) was

and also...if you trusted all the maths then a bumble bee wouldnt fly.....

I trust maths....but when you are basing your calculations on inputs provided by a non-impartial source (Bugatti in the case of your Cd figures) you have to be able to demonstrate this in order for it to be fact. It wouldnt be the first time a manufacturer fudged numbers to validate their own performance claims

If 270+ is beyond the tires limites then how did Bugatti complete their record run?

I can assure you there isnt some magical engineering limitation that prevents Goodyear, Pirelli and the likes from making a tire to survive 270+mph. If there was then Bugatti never would have been able to demonstrate their top speed run in the first place....people need to push the fanbois voice out of their head when

And did no one seem to notice that the Tesla "Ture Cost of Ownership" calculator lets you plud in the larger tax rebates from GA, WV and UT yet they list in the fine print: "Tesla Financing is only available in the following states: CA, CO, IL, FL, NJ, NY, OR and WA"?

Would it not be more accurate to compare the current W204 to the W202? F30 to E36? Dart to Neon? I know manufacturers are mucking about with segmentation of their line ups but these would be the accurate comparisons...

The world is also full of people who watch "Keeping up with the Kardashian's"....sad, scary but true.

by just changing "software" you can add 250+bhp to a 6.7 powerstroke so software would definitely be considered a modification.

I get that the maths seem to indicate its an realistic speed but reality often conflicts with figures....and if they can manufacture tires to stay together under the 10.5 tonne Thrust SSC at 763mph I think they can make tires to support a 4000lb road car at 270mph.

what u mad bro?

258-267 aint gonna make the pivotal difference. Bugatti is hyping this tire issue for reasons they aren't being completely upfront an honest about (there are tonnes of tires at the salt flats spinning much higher speeds without issue). Something doesn't smell right about this...

Am I the only one who thinks Guinness may be on to something here? I'm starting to wonder if the whole speed limiter thingy Bugatti has may be an easy out due to internal knowledge that the 267.8 may not be repeatable with a production car. I mean head down to the salt flats and you'll see hundreds of tires surviving
