Laserface 1242: Yes! But, no.

Yes! But, No.

I... don’t have any goalpost? I Said that Tel Aviv’s a shit town. You said that they’ll have to be in both cities constanly, i said that most officals can do so easily because they are very near each other (and also, probably, do so right now anyway).  What am i missing?

Not literally ALL, but whatever.
It’s a 1 hour drive. They’ll make it.

A. Again, maybe. I think that you’re looking at it wrong - Palestine didn’t look to the US because it seemed the most impartial but because it was the most respected single country, and it gave them lots of money. If the USA continues to bring them money, they would probably still listen to any future peace process

So, I can’t reply to Laserface. Don’t know if that’s intentional on his part or not.

I don’t think any leverage is lost. Jerusalem could still also be the capitol of a future Palestine. If anything, there is now more leverage because they’ll have to work “harder” to get it as a capitol.

There was a response here, I think. There should of been one, anyway.
Eh, whatever.

Yeah, the embassy part is mostly “whatever”. Maybe just nice to the people who won’t have to visit Tel Aviv in the future.

“Executed Poorly” is probably right. Although i’m not sure what would be a “good” execustion of the idea.

“Good” is not how i would describe it, but “okay”.

Okay, so - how would you define a capitol? or.. a thing? Let’s say there are 3 primary qualifcations:

1. You would need to define it as your capitol - If all the world says “Sydney is the capitol of Australia” or “ You’re a bad person” that would not make it so.
2.

Okay, but, like could you reply just 60% less pissed off for no reason?
Anyway -

Trump didn’t say anything about East/West Jerusalem. He didn’t say “and in no way ever never would there be a East Jerusalem embassy”. He just said that, yeah, right now - Jerusalem is Israel’s capitol.

Yeah, but, no. If the idea of it being bad is just fear of having to have this argument again, than you should still have this argument. I really don’t want to live in a world where just/okay/fine decisions are not made just of fear of having to resolve issues that are attached to them - be it Israel, feminisim,

Trump’s recent decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a needlessly incendiary announcement opposed by everyone from Trump’s own cabinet to the pope.

I get what you’re saying but you do know Israeli cinema is a thing, yeah?
And while we lack the budget to do an action extravaganze we do have some ass-kicking in our films.

Three Billboards has 4 nominations - Ensamble, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor times two.

Lady Bird has 4 nominations that i can count: Film. Actress, Supporting Actress and Screenplay. Am I missing 1?

Really didn’t like this film. I think as an Israeli it’s just harder not to notice how un-authentic everything is and how unrelated to reality most of this is (and especially any part with soldiers in it), but that may not be a problem for international viewers. Great cinematoprphy though.

Is.. is this sponsored? This seems like sponsored content, like.. i’ve never seen such fluff promotion pieces before on The AV Club. Did I miss them all?

Well, this is trash.
