Nobody is saying Brady isn’t tough and didn’t almost beat them despite this, but don’t tell me he wasn’t feeling the pressure yesterday. I’ve never seen him short arm the ball and prance around wheeling his head around before desperately chucking it off his back foot this much before.

Given the silly way we do things in the States as far as paying people in food service, no, I would say you still tip an appropriate amount but just go the extra mile when its snowing or otherwise horrific. Delivery drivers in particular are prone to getting shafted on tips. At a restaurant most people tip what they

Yes. I get that. And they are all large men from Manitoba and Siberia who play professional ice hockey and probably far and a way better suited to driving in the snow than anyone else in the DC metro area (to say the least). I think the ones they are really concerned about are the drunk dipshits from Montgomery County

This should be its own post. That must be Starvin’ Marvins down in Frederick, MD?

Provide them immediately or I will not believe you!

I don’t disagree.

You are the first person to have that amazing insight in response to my poorly worded internet comment. But, I would like to say if we’re talking about people driving a car then I have a much higher threshold for bad weather. I thought we were talking about that poor fuck riding a bike in the picture.

I lived there for many years. Look, I didn’t mean to suggest that delivery men can just “take the day off”, so I should have phrased that differently. But New York City is a place where people are used to snow and generally speaking know how to deal with it. If its the kind of snowstorm where there are 3 foot drifts

I think its hilarious that they are acting like the safety of the players is the reason it should be called off. I think a bunch of hockey players from Canada, Minnesota, and Russia will be ok. Its the rest of the DC area who I’d be more concerned about.

Yes, I think I have unintentionally set others off as well. That wasn’t my intent. I realize people with low paying jobs don’t have the options others do.

Yes, I have. I get what you’re saying, but I think that most employers would not be that level of shitty if the weather is so bad that people are actually endangering their lives. (Cue anti-capitalism manifesto)Also, if the weather is the level of bad where you are risking your life by going outside I’m going to guess

While I’m sure that is correct in some cases, I don’t think every person who employs delivery men is such an unconscionable asshole. I guess it would help to define “snowstorm” too. The Blizzard of the Century? Maybe not order delivery. A run of the mill snowstorm? Why not.

Yeah, I’m not sure why this is really a question for debate. If the guys are working then you can order delivery then of course you can and yes, you should tip handsomely. Inclement weather is a primary reason anyone orders delivery. If they are “risking their lives” I think its on them to, you know, take the day off

You not only contemplated it....you actually did it. GFYS!

They’re “gunning” for you, didn’t say they’ll ever get there.

Such a weird photo. Its like what they do in Europe when a soccer team signs a new player. They run them out in an empty stadium and play with a ball for a few minutes while everyone takes pictures.

I was there a number of times and I don’t remember that. However, it was twenty years ago now and I was most assuredly drunk.

Engaging defensively in the comments makes you look, well, defensive.

I do remember thinking it was an amazing example of the most soul crushingly terrible stadium design imaginable. But it kept you out of the... rain I guess?

I believe that is a forthcoming Nas/Jay Z collaboration.
