good point.

Good call. I did vote for Liz warren in my states D primary. But the rest of our American boot lickers would rather idolize wealth like it’s a legitimate hobby.

Yeah well another comment to me was about how much he enjoyed licking those boots, that allowed him to buy his second home.  Yes, the corporation owners surely are millionaires, and overall its a well paying industry (as it deserves to be).  My point to the original comment was that we don’t need to feel bad for this

Who gives a fuck?  We could create a “number of well paying jobs” in lots of ways that don’t involve masturbation for a billionaire, to let him burn an extra 100,000 gallons of diesel fuel every year.

Good, good for them.  Specializing in ways to burn the planet to the ground even faster.  I don’t give a single shit about industries that exist only to let billionaires burn 100k gallons more diesel fuel every year.  It’s selfish bullshit that doesn’t help the planet.

I get that quandary but mega yachts are bad for the planet, period. They should indeed spend their money. But maybe not on fun new ways to burn 78,254 gallons more diesel fuel every year.

Lol, congrats for you.  Nice counterpoint to the dozen replies I got about how “yacht builders aren’t rich you dumbfuck”.

Exactly my point.  Weird how easily it went right over these peoples heads, who though I was an idiot for not celebrating the little bits of bezo’s wealth that will trickle down from this disgusting vanity project.

I can think of a lot fuckin better ways to use 300 million of bezo’s dollars, than to build him a floating phallus that only employs a handful of people full time, in shitty jobs of servitude to one man. Who gets to consume an insanely disproportionate amount of earths finite resources, belching emissions-control free

Really? It seems like rich people care the most about other peoples money, as in, they want to take it from them, and hoard it themselves.

Am I the neocon?  Complete opposite.  I want to take bozo’s money away from him, and distribute it to everyone else.  Not celebrate when he launches a new vanity project that only employs a handful of people full time, so that he can consume a ridiculously disproportionate amount of our planets finite resources.

No, dude. The point is that the mega yacht industry is not suffering, it is booming. An industry that is objectively bad for the planet. Using billionaires money to build a floating phallus that consumes dozens of thousands of dollars of diesel fuel (or even worse if bunker oil) with basically zero emissions controls

My question as well. Why are they (going to) dismantling a bridge for masts, when it doesn’t even have them yet?  Just finish this piece of shit somewhere downstream.

Spare us, dude. Bleeding hearts for the suffering mega-yacht industry?

Agree fully. Plus a lot of midwesterners tend to keep an extra old car or two around. We have options and drive what works. Coastal folks with only one or two parking spots, that have to have the shiniest new thing, are less likely to wait.

Those with the lowest household income are also willing to wait the longest, while of those making over $150,000, only 29 percent would wait over 12 months.

Did you know that only ~60% of americans took the polio vaccine in the years after its release? And that polio went away anyway? Not herd immunity, at least by current standards. What the fuck even is herd immunity. When covid started we heard estimates of 60%, to ~2/3, being enough. The bar got continually raised.

It’s like 85% or more a-hole.  Only eclipsed by Ram TRX drivers.

The crazy hard brake check could have caused an accident all on its own.  Raptor was lucky to escape.  Best outcome would have been them to both crash (gently).

Those raptor brake checks were really harsh. Anyone who brake checks like that gets zero moral high ground, in my opinion. They set off the whole chain of events by policing the roadway.
