I live literally 15 minutes from Hartford and I only go there out of necessity. I was looking forward to attending a Yard Goats game there this season but Hartford couldn’t get the park built in time. And they lost the Whalers. And they were played by Robert Kraft. And they are currently broke.

Seeing they play in a sandcrawler I'm surprised we didn't see a bunch of Jawas and droids with suspect motivators.

I've enjoyed the times I've travelled to Charlotte for business. But I just couldn't bring myself to live there.

My company is closing our office in CT and has offered financial assistance to relocate to Charlotte. Or, I can choose to work from home full time.

So glad Bert Bielema ended up there.

We called him “Shanababy” in Hartford when he was agitating for a trade. One night a fan threw a suitcase on the ice to help him pack.

When I was in college - late 80's - I was flying from Hartford to Madison, heading back to the UW after Christmas break. The first leg was from Hartford to Detroit. As I waited I suddenly realized Gordie Freaking Howe was on my flight! I wanted to be respectful and thus left him alone.

It’s actually a railroad term, but whatever. It’s still a stupid name.
