I don’t know where you are, but (at least for 2017) the GTI is listed as not recommended for towing in the US.

Clutch replaced yes. Wear on tires and brakes is negligible. Maybe tires depending on how bad they got roasted. But certainly not brakes. He's asking for a lot but they should work with him, they screwed it up. The manager is equally responsible as he hired the techs
Oh yeah, baby! You know what I like!
I see what she did there. She didn’t.
Make sure to confirm that the smaller wheels will still clear the calipers on the higher trim models, sometimes that’s an issue due to better brakes being part of the upgrades. Using TireRack.com’s winter package search should be a helpful clue, as it’s common to downsize the diameter for those applications.
Ugh, so frustrating. I can’t decide if I still want to gamble on one of these leaf plusses or not. If they had done proper thermal mgmt, CCS, and pro-pilot to faster than a pathetic 62 mph I would be lusting. Instead, I’m confused and unsure.
He just flat out lied about never needing brake pads and this is the CEO/Owner of the company.
I think range wise, they are holding up ok. Its mainly the charging rate that suffers (charge slow to avoid over heating).
Actually, the aspect ratio of those older non-labeled tires was 80%, so they would be labeled as a 165/80R15 now.
They claim they deleted the spare tire... ...for fuel economy.
How I first read it.
This is good Jalopnik
In case you’ve made a bet that Jalopnik has no readers in Kurdistan, get ready to lose, pal, because today a reader…
“Ethanol mandate”
Good choice for COTD... although today was a good contender for co-winners. Joejberg single handedly outdid the entire Camaro design group earlier today, as an offhand addition to the discussion of the Chevy Silverado HD TRUCKINATOR.
While this is indeed a fabulous comment, I now worry that I am going to here TROGDOR every time I see a truck with a big snarly grill. Which is going to get old. Fast.
We found the comment of the day, folks.
You’ve put more effort into the appearance than Chevy did.
BURNINATING THE PEASANTS!!!! TRUUUUUUUUUUUUCKDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR!
