You can definitely do a little better performance-wise at the price point for the Regal GS, but it’s a combination of performance and luxury, and for that the price is pretty aggressive. Those front seats look pretty awesome.

Other companies that used imported steel are going to buy more US steel, increasing the demand for US steel (and therefore the price)
A 140 MPH speedo was an option, and I think standard on the GNX.
Ouch. Do that to a Monte Carlo instead! Put a 3.8 turbo in if you are building a Regal of this era, please! It’s not that hard to build one up to some serious power.
The Regal GS is pretty sweet.
Most EVs can charge overnight at home or while parked (if workplace charging is available). For the most part only highways will need more high speed recharge centers, with _some_ high speed chargers in strategic rural locations... It’s the off-the-beaten path stuff that makes it hard to plan driving with an EV,…
I am always surprised by the cost of insurance for a new car versus my old cars. Plus, outright replacement value of a $35K car is going to be more than for a $24K car, so there’s that... After the first year or two the insurance cost drops off quickly.
I think more people would be comfortable with an EV if it had an on-board range extender, whether its a gasoline powered engine or some other fuel.
The ‘73 Buick LeSabre my grandparents bought new. You can see how the hood doesn’t quite line up...
Thanks. Yeah, I don’t feel very guilty about it, and to this day I get angry at people who stop to let people out. Especially if I’m behind them. And to the people who stop to let me out of a side street like this guy did - not only are you putting the cars behind you at risk from the unexpected stop, you are now…
I had asked my parents to let me put a ‘real radio’ in my car with FM and a cassette deck. They wouldn’t (the OEM radio was AM only), so I had a small boom box on the front seat with me. This is a bad plan, as you can imagine. I glanced down to do something to the radio, and while I was looking down someone a few cars…
What else could it have been?
Without permission is correct - however what he is saying is to be inviting. It’s what I teach my little ones when we go to car shows - ‘never touch the car’ unless the owner is there and gives permission. I tend to stay by my car and invite people to come sit in it, touch it, ask questions etc. And people are often…
I have a ‘54 MG. I love bringing it to shows, and always always always let everybody who wants to sit in it, blow the horn, row the gears etc... although I save driving it for people I trust - no synchros in 1st and a manual (not hydraulic) clutch throws a lot of people off... but I will happily teach you to drive it…
Neutral: I am currently ignoring a “safety recall” on my Chevy Volt. It’s called “Unintended engine running” and is caused by someone forgetting to turn the vehicle off, then eventually the drive battery running out and the engine starting. This could “potentially allow fumes to build up in a garage”. The recall makes…
Criminally Pathetic Observations
If you sent an email I didn’t get it. Yahoo has been pretty aggressive with my spam filters lately so reply if you sent an email so I know to look out for it.
I thought they said they get 1 new pack every season. Are they not taking the new packs? That’s awesome.
I’m curious what they do with the old battery packs at the end of a season. Do they tear them apart to see what parts “wear”? (chemically? physically? Are there warped plates or deteriorating metals etc?)
If you are in MA (as your username suggests) I’d be happy to let you have a good look at mine. I’m usually north of Boston. Send me an email at my username here at yahoo.
