This is all too true. Plugshare is a great app and can help you find chargers. I drive a ‘13 Chevy Volt and rarely find public charging. I can’t plug in at my office. The 120V charging taking 7-8 hours, that’s something you do at home overnight. Which if you have an apartment really sucks. If you are lucky to live in

All I can think of is that this guy paid too much for wheelbarrows he wasn’t going to keep. Given that he’s spent all that other money though, I guess he doesn’t mind. If he’s got that much money to blow on this kind of silliness, why does he care which house he registers the car to? Doesn’t state law say it should be

For a full EV I guess a 10 year replacement estimate may be appropriate, although I think in real world driving they are going to go much longer. It’s not like you get to 10 years and suddenly have 0 battery. Another reason I like the Volt - the battery is very well protected (liquid cooling and heating, no full drain

It’s not a guarantee that the battery is totally dead after 100K miles. It will degrade though, so expect max range to start dropping off. Nobody as far as I know has driven one until the range is so low as to be useless. How much does one have to pay for a transmission rebuild? Yeah, it’s not cheap, but it’s got a

But you do know you don’t need to recharge the Volt, right? Just stop at the gas station and leave the Cruise Control set at whatever you want. Recharging takes about 3 minutes!

I love mine, have had it for just over 4 years and 54000 miles. Absolutely amazing car, and I have no concerns about it lasting a long time.

Although it looked to me like the guy was maybe going a little fast, but caught the dirt going around the big lumbering truck that was in the middle of the road (they were both using the middle of the road). So give him a 4/10 asshat and ‘nice save’.

Try a used Volt (styling not that much better). They are also cheap and you get EV driving without the range anxiety part!

I have a Volt (not a leaf) and I have to say the traction control is superb. The computer has full control over the motor output, so it has nearly perfect traction control. If needed it will throw some ABS at the wheels to help control side to side power distribution. Just mat it and go!

Lucky for you the range is more like 75 miles. If it’s downhill you are all good. Also, get the app ‘plugshare’ or just check their website for charging stations along your route. Welcome to EV life!

Holy crap he’s got that thing on two wheels for like 5 minutes! Too funny!

The local spanish broadcasting station had Airwolf on the other day when I was channel surfing, and I got totally sucked in. I don’t speak any spanish, so the overdubbed cheesiness had me laughing the entire time and I had no idea what they were saying.

Patrick, why is this in Truck Yeah? Shouldn’t it be in Car Yeah, or whatever it’s equivalent is? Because for certain the Rogue Sport is more car than truck?

Everything is great now. Especially because this article is here on the internet. By commenting my blog followers will see it and it will spread virally.

What the heck is this pile of junk? Using logic in a discussion about politics? How dare you! Show me smoking tires, not smoking guns!

Ahh the CVT Transmission. It’s just waiting to bring you to the drive up ATM Machine. Brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department.

Not the only one, ours was great too. Never had a problem with it.

Commenting on a 2 year old article because repost, but we had a 1992 TransSport and it was fantastic. It had the nearly bulletproof 3800 v6, and we took it on many many road tripa without a problem. I used to leave my big rand mcnally map on the dashboard in front of me while driving so I could look at it’s reflection

Don’t forget that secondhand cars immediately face the depreciation valued at whatever EV rebates and tax credits are out there. So the discounting isn’t off MSRP, but about $10000 less.

My brother was rearended while driving his ‘68 Buick Special on the highway by a driver going very fast and weaving in and out of lanes through traffic. He was pushed sideways, went across all 4 lanes into the center guardrail, and the car spun around 3 times with the front and rear bouncing off said guardrail. The
