Now I want this in every single article, just to bug you.
“One advantage of Mario Odyssey 2 on the switch is that it’s portable, TOM!”

You make a good point, when are we going to get the games where the zombies are being deployed as a result of a military paying Umbrella for their products? So far, they’ve all been horrible accidents, or experiments. It doesn’t seem like their bioweapons research has ever actually yielded a profit.
Underpowered today, but remember that in the past with the NES, SNES, N64, and Gamecube they were competing with other console’s specs directly and often had the edge (the SNES had better color and sound than the Genesis, and the Gamecube was all-around more powerful than the PS2).
It was with the Wii where Nintendo…
Hey if Microsoft can release an entire Operating System without any internal testing whatsoever, why would a mere game company bother with it?
(Note that this is sarcasm. Microsoft’s firing of their QA team was one of the biggest mistakes the company has made in recent memory.)
Jim F. Sterlingson has a take on this, the correct take.
Wait he’s on the DS now?
Oh my word he is!
Because the 80's never dies.
Right up until about the Gamecube’s release, you could still mail in FDS floppy disks and a few yen to have Nintendo write games to them like, you know, Zelda and Metroid. In Japan.
Heck, during the Gamecube era I ordered a few of those rounded “dog bone” controllers for my NES from them. Well, that and some S-Video…
If only all the pokemon had this sort of reimagining to their gigamax forms. Long Meowth is amazing, and reminds me of those “long boos” from Super Mario Bros 3.
Activision-Blizzard need to decide what’s more important. Billions of dollars, or resisting tyranny? Yes it’s going to hurt AB, but there’s only one right choice. There’s more important things than more collective wealth than many entire countries.
Ahahaha you put the “It really makes you FEEL like Batman” quote right in the title!
Spinning fox tails can’t fly in space silly, no air! Come on now!
A cardboard box held together by friction and a paper strap? That’s a disaster waiting to happen.
Heck my lunch box as a kid was far sturdier, AND it had a handle, and a thermos!
They don’t have to stop you to protect their IP. That’s a myth the industry likes to promote. They don’t.
Consider: Nintendo hasn’t seen fit to send a cease and desist to anyone for fanart that isn’t games. That includes OCRemix covers of their music, and art drawn on letters sent to Nintendo Power back in the day.
Don’t…
If only they could go and fix their Half-Life Blueshift steam version... I’ve had to use a fan version for years because of all the features stripped out of Steam’s version.
Ah the old “well, it makes money doesn’t it?” defense. It’s not a defense of bad behavior. Never has been, never will be.
That said, the big gaming news sites weren’t helping. The most ideal possible “if you like the game, buy it and own it forever” model was spit on by a lot of news sites with pieces about “is $10 too…
Wait are you talking about Super Mario Run? That was an excellent game at an excellent price point, and it followed the right and proper “shareware game” model of yore. Who was complaining about that?
A monthly fee to get what we used to be able to get for a single one time payment, and we thank them for it.
I’m going to pass on this one. Locking a single player mode behind a monthly sub is unbecoming of Nintendo, but par for the course when it comes to mobile gaming. I still have Mario Kart 8 after all. I’ll wait for a real Mario Kart game I can just- own.
They don’t even cover disk 1?!
Hard pass.... There’s no way they’re going to manage to complete a project consisting of, what, 12 parts?
