I assumed the same after some dreary beach experience in Denmark, but this place was great. Luckily, a few friends recommended it or I probably would have never even considered it.

I was there last week and it is in fact a lovely slice of beach. Interesting tidbit, Prora is actually the longest building in the world and it shows. Looking down the hallway in the newly remodeled vacation condo I stayed in, it was impossible to see the end.
