Absurd aerodynamic features are pretty par for the course for Thai car culture, at least from my experience I’m Bangkok. That and CNG tanks. Nearly every taxi was decked out in neon and spoilers in some sort of peacock like mating ritual trying to attract customers.

If we are going to blame anybody (besides, you know, the drivers), I think a better case would be against car makers who make cars that go 123mph. I mean those speedometers even go past 55mph, just egging the drivers on to go faster.

TUV aside, good luck with the Zulassungsstelle (DMV equivalent for registration). I bought a car two weeks back and my appointment is not until the end of September, so I have a nice paperweight for now. I’m not sure if it’s as crazy down south as here in Berlin, but this could be an even bigger fly in the ointment.
