Went to Ireland. My brother-in-law drove the rental. Not used to driving on the other side of the road. Clipped something and lost the passenger side mirror. Nearly sideswiped a truck.  And that was just on the way to the hotel.

Star Wars was a linear story that revolved around the Skywalkers. Other characters were introduced as needed to propel their story. The MCU is a universe of independent characters who are mixed together in different stories based on the story being told. It provides a more flexible format.
