Rogue opinion: I like the new update, it hasn’t decreased the functions I use the library for, and overall I’ve enjoyed new features. The way “What’s new” is displayed at the top of the library now is kinda nice. I don’t usually pay good attention to my games or updates, so it’s kinda nice to have a big obvious area

You’re going to have a very interesting day when you discover that teenagers watch porn

I would much rather, magnitudes more rather, have cam girls than a systematic oppression of content creators. I can just like, not watch cam girls. They aren’t seriously harming the creators I watch.

Twitch is going to trashrule itself into alienating its content creators and driving away its consumers, just like every major service inevitably does when it gets too big and decides to let automation take over moderation.

Launcher saturation is becoming kinda annoying. Pretty soon someone is going to design a paid launcher to help you manage all of these launchers.

The intention is to arbitrarily enforce rules they don’t care about to appeal to investors and advertisers who also have never been on Twitch. It’s a whole bunch of decisions being made by people who can barely operate a computer.

In another instance of slight color differences, Chad and Romania have nearly identical flags except for Romania having a slightly lighter blue.

If I want guitar hero like gameplay, I’m just going to play Clone Hero, which is not deleted and way better

That’s not what I said in the slightest

“players take Bethesda game and make it what they actually want” is kinda how all the games work at this point, so I guess this checks out?

I was unaware that it needed DRM at all

They can find enough staff to moderate the entire workshop, but can’t do enough basic screening of games they sell to ensure they even start?

Yeah the two best full fan games I’ve played have been Conflict of Interest and Contempt of Court. They use an emulator called PyWright but like, you’re not downloading official roms or content if you’re worried about that kind of thing.

That’s how you know this game is a work of fiction

Well, there’s a 100% chance it’ll be a live service microtransaction hotfest, so if Bioware does get shutdown after it, it will likely be once EA gets tired of milking the market and decides it’s not worth supporting the game anymore.

I don’t know much about staffing, but do any of the big player devs from the old bioware games even still work there? It sounds like they either all left or have been pushed out of having any input and value.

Bioware was doomed when EA bought them, their whole MO is driving companies into the ground until they can’t pump out sufficient profits to please investors

They should have called it Echos of Obscurity because they’re trying hard to make sure no one sees or enjoys anything

I probably saw this was a thing and immediately forgot about it because I’m not playing Star Ocean for shoddy mobile games.

Video game characters making immoral choices tend to actually suffer consequences, which is why they’re a true fantasy world, and a big part of why we enjoy media with evil in it. Those characters are also in extreme stress situations and typically both being shot at by hundreds of people regularly, and dealing with
