Idea for another big bad: BRAINIAC-1. They could reuse the costume from KRYPTON on SyFy, unless that’s too hideous for network TV.

I don’t know. I thought the musical celebration this episode paled compared to My Way. Keeping Lex is going to lead to diminishing returns. I think they would be wise to keep him at a minimum this season.

A Supermancave, if you will 

It’s something that everyone who wears a domino mask does. They wear eyeshadow matching their mask.

Despite her terrible eye makeup I don’t have a problem with Alex as a superhero. Alex is a lot more qualified to be a superhero than James was when he became Guardian. She will be probably working with the team more than he did his first season as Guardian too.

agree, there are WAY too many characters on this show.

The thought I had most often during this episode was “Wait, this nonsense was really last season’s plot?” It was a real mess. And I don’t know why, but the sci-fi tech on this show bothers me more than the sci-fi tech on the rest of the hero shows. But that might mostly be the VR piece, since we actually have VR and…

On a related note, I never noticed Nia wore matching eyeliner beneath her domino mask until she had the maskless scene with Brainy tonight. That one somehow bothers me more because it’s purely decorative and not designed to fill in the mask or hide her identity.

I swear that in the middle of J’onn’s pep talk with Alex, her eye make-up suddenly dialed back from its “10+ Ohmigod!” to a more manageable “5" on the freaky-eye makeup scale. Like at that point in the filming, the fan reactions started to flood in and the showrunners were like: (with British accent) “Oh, I hadn’t…

The wig she had on for last week’s “on the next Grey’s Anatomy” kind of freaked me out. Totally not used to seeing her like that anymore.

I am fine with Alex’s crazy eye makeup. She can do no wrong as far as I am concerned. I even really like her shorter hair  (at least it is symmetrical) 

Has there been any word what this year’s big bad will be? I think it’s said Lex will come back at some point but he won’t be the main threat.

Seriously those two wore out their welcomes after one episode.

William and Andrea don’t need to be regulars. The cast was already big when they joined and they don’t add anything to the show.

Clark heard the ruckus at the Fortress, but Jordan needed his help with some calculus homework so he didn’t make there in time to lend a hand.

It’s funny, I figured Kara’s sacrifice play was a deliberate rope-a-dope that the team was in on, hence their nonchalance. I guess it wasn’t since Kara was saved by the protocols that Lena enacted on the fly right before she left.
