Odin did steal the love of his life, then abandon her. And she never returned his love.

As a child of the 70s and 80s I preferred the Morgan Edge of the comics from that era. He wasn’t a real bad guy, just a little insensitive (and he got no benefit of the doubt because of everybody’s experience with Lex Luthor), and was fleshed out and eventually became a good guy, revealing he was a self-made tycoon

Poor Jordan can’t even catch a break, discovering that he may never be as powerful as his father because of his human side. Condemned to being a B-list superhero I guess.

The Fortress of Solitude is apparently now the Cave of Exposition

So last week Superman gets hit with that kryptonite shard and just yanks it out to go save his family and it’s never brought up again. Kind of jarring given a small shard is usually enough to take him down in most media, especially jarring given someone else is getting poisoned one show over.

That would be an interesting swerve if Lana was the traitor. There’s at least one modern comic story where she’s worked against Superman so it’s not without precedent.

obligatory, omg, Captain Luthor is from the Synderverse!

Also I think that with  his superpowers Clark will  do an effective job making the family farm a financial success

Was it just me or was the dialogue audio sped up during the airing?

Yeah, I woulda skipped that part (though I kinda assumed we had faded into his dream by then?)

Yes I imagine snow sex would be pretty cold.”

Yes, but being in a hot tub when it’s snowy *is* pretty great (and in general I don’t even like hot tubs...)

John Byrne, despite being a key part of what made the Uncanny X-Men Marvel’s biggest title (and reviving the Fantastic Four) is a major dick.

Blech. So many writers have done so many hatchet jobs on Wanda it’s a wonder there are even any hatchets left. This type of weird quasi-fetish material is so ugly and degrading.

Yeah, I’m thinking Captain Luthor is a descendant of Lex who escaped the destruction of future Earth and he blames Superman for whatever happened. It probably turns out to be something one of the sons did.

Yes, it was pretty disappointing that they don’t mention Kara - the other Kryptonian on Earth. A family member who could give boys another perspective on those powers. I got screamed at when I said I was disappointed by lack of any mention of her in the trailer but it’s clear now she is not going to play a part at

From the writer’s comments I do not think Cryer is going to reprise his role on the new show. Which is a huge disappointment because he really rocked it

The stuff with the kids, I had zero interest in coming in, and it was surprisingly dark and intense, but I could be into it. I like how supportive the three main kids are of each other

I did not realize I wanted a show about Superman versus the death of the American small town, but I gotta say that now that I have one, I’m actually pretty excited.

In addition to Edge and General Lane I think Clark’s ship is different then the one we saw in the opening of Supergirl way back when.

Lana struggled to come up with a female equivalent to call Martha Kent and went from Superman to Superwoman with no one mentioning Supergirl. I mean, that was the better answer for Martha, but not mentioning Supergirl felt weird.
