I will be at Oktoberfest for most of the weekend, so not much games. But when we stumble back to our Air BnB after the festivities , hopefully we can play some Beerio Kart and some Super Mario Party! And if I don’t drive there, probably some Dead Cells in the car. Got to the final boss a few runs back and haven’t

Continuing my addiction to God of War, I picked it up late as I wanted to finish a few games on Steam before I inevitably became consumed with Kratos’ latest adventure. The combat is so fun, I’m not normally a sidequest addict, but I love hunting everything down in this game, if mostly for the challenging enemies that

While I mostly agree with you, games that have loot boxes and will never make you pay for DLC are ok in my book. My main example is Overwatch. Not only do you get loot boxes every level (which comes really frequently), but they use the profit of those loot boxes to continue to add tons of new content to the game. Free

Came here literally looking for this exact comment. Kinja didn’t disappoint.

Switching between Golf Story and Stardew Valley (2nd playthrough) on my Switch! And maybe I’ll dive back into FFVI. But who am I kidding? Anyone who’s played Stardew knows I’ll probably just get sucked into that for 10-15 hours this weekend.

Having attended my first soccer match this year, my biggest complaint was that I had no time to walk around to get food or beer without missing half of a half. Unlike in baseball stadiums, where I can wander for an inning and a half and still look out to the field and see the action, or at football games, where I

Diving further into my SNES classic! Beat Mega Man X (for the 5th or so time) earlier in the week, so now it’s on to Super Mario World 2! I’ll be playing that as a change of pace for Final Fantasy 6.

Just a heads up, there are more romance options than what is stated in the article! 12 instead of ten, I believe.

I think you kinda made his point; If they included All-Stars on the SNES classic, I would have zero personal reasons to consider getting a NES classic when it starts its second run. The All-Star versions of the games are generally just more appealing.

Very cool! I need to finish my playthrough of Chrono Trigger (not on my SNES classic, should have been) so I can stream my playthrough of Super Mario RPG. Loving the SNES classic!

Yoshi’s Island is a bit higher for me (probably #6, below the undisputed GOAT games). The level design, soundtrack and art for that game is fantastic. I get that it’s a tad easy to beat, with all the bonus games for extra lives and whatnot, but getting 100% is a tougher challenge than getting 100% in SMW. But that’s

The line I was in last night was full of scheming scalpers, but it still seemed like everyone at my local wal-mart (one of the few midnight launches within 30 miles of Seattle) that came at least an hour early was able to snag one. Even a couple of Canadian grandmothers pulled up lawn chairs for 2 hours to get one

Wow get rekt.

Call me a putz then, because if I had children with me, I’d totally bring a glove.

I’ve had a couple small gatherings where the Switch made an appearance, and I’ve definitely noticed that when there’s drinking and social interaction involved, some of the more casual gaming makes a lot of us stand up and get excited.

Octopath Traveler is “generic”? That name sounds unique as fuck if you ask me.

I have the same issue but the opposite,I’ve been able to strike “that’s gay,” or “fag” from my vocabulary, but “that’s retarded” has been something that slips out of my mouth still, much to the dismay of my wife.

“No, it’s dead when people run out of consoles, controllers, and CRT’s. B)“

Your lack of understanding in your past comments gave you away.

I actually don’t even play Melee, I enjoy competitive smash 4, I’m just close enough to the scene to know more about it than you ever will, and since I don’t play it or care how long it survives, I’m pretty unbiased on the matter.
