@Alfisted: Right, thanks, I forgot that one. Much appreciated.

Oh good. Let me get all the Volkswagen-hating comments out of the way, shall I?

Geez, he could have had mine. Since the only way to get decent projector headlights that are HID compatible is to buy those god-awful angel-eye headlights, I bought them and pulled the LED rings out of them. Because they're awful.

@pauljones: Yes, you are going in the same wrong damned direction as the rest, and I am NOT starting this argument again.

@Pessimipposaurus: EXACTLY. It's a fucking Bugatti! Has nobody ever paid any attention at all to automotive history? The ENTIRE point of Bugatti has always been to simply be MORE of absolutely everything. It is supposed to be the epitome of opulence!

I have never been so disappointed in the Jalopnik commentariat as I am with this thread. The makers of the most amazing supercar in the world make a sedan. It's going to have 850+ horsepower. It'll do 215 mph. It'll have a supercharged W16 engine. It's filled with luxurious, gorgeous brown leather inside. And they're

@bmoreDLJ: Did you add a Landau roof? Epic win, if so.

@DarthLefty: Not yet. But I'm still working on it.

"Oh well they can't have any chrome. And they can't be too fast. Oh, and it has to get at least 35 mpg. And it can't look at all like a Volkswagen. Or any other car, for that matter. And it needs more leather. 215 mph? Is that all? No, I'm sorry, there just aren't any cars on the market that meet MY exacting

@VonPinto: I hear what you're saying. I'm saying your biases towards VW are not universally shared by everyone, even if they are shared by most of the Jalopnik commenters. After all, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley and the Veyron all share similar design traits, and they're not exactly having to put hefty sales incentives

@Heavern2: In the Veyron, you have to tell it that you're going to be doing a high speed run by inserting a second key and unlocking the variable aerodynamics. At that point it turns off the normal speed limiter and ensures that the suspension, body kit and rear wing will adjust properly to allow it to hit the insane

@scroggs: Nice reference. I have no idea how I didn't see it coming.

@NiceNurseRatched: As they've said below, I believe that's supposed to be 80cm.

@HEЯB_EAVEЯSHTANQUE: Glad to hear the Venga bus is finally coming. I hear everyone's been practically jumping for it. Why, from New York to San Fra—

@VonPinto: Uh. Okay, first off, the "Volkswageney" part you're talking about. All I can come up with is the roundness, which is universal across the entire VWAG lineup, and can even be seen in Porsche. That's less about VW, and more about the design influences. I believe it's partly from the Bauhaus school.

Cool!

Also: the major magazines appear to be calling it the Galabier, Jalopnik calls it the Galibier. Which is it?

Breaking news: Bugatti develops most amazing 4-door saloon in the world. Jalopnik commentariat doesn't care, bitches about too much chrome, 8 exhaust pipes.
