@Ash78: In my personal case, nope, sure didn't. All I got was, "Well, you should have known better."

@Ash78: Well, let's put it this way. Did you learn your lesson when YOU got banhammered?

@Ash78: Sometimes, I hate you.

@Ash78: And I'm waiting for you to respond to it so I can respond to that in similar fashion, calling you out and gloating.

@Pessimipposaurus: I second that sentiment. That is some yummy racing babe right there. And it's not just the Audi logos.

@gravit8: I do a pretty good impersonation of him, too.

@pauljones: Which is pretty much the same point I made elsewhere... I'm just fantastically bitter that the G8 GXP was cancelled before they imported it to Canada. And you're forgetting, also, that they've scrapped Saturn and Opel/Vauxhall, just when they'd brought over some fantastic cars. The Astra is a damn fine

@tonyola: Yes. Yes it would have. Much. Much more better.

@mandwer: I think that's largely because they've gotten smarter about it. They've realized that it's a metric fuckload cheaper to do the engineering R&D inside "mules" that are based on existing platforms. So, for instance, take a stock Cobalt from the production line, chop the engine/transmission/god-awful-interior

@MarywithanM: as you were: Coffee spit-take. Fantastic. Well done.

@Serious Mopar Jones- Incurable: I wouldn't expect a Mopar fan to be able to admit that, but even a VW fan like myself has to admire the G8, the Solstice, the CTS/V, the Corvette... even the Enclave and Malibu. They're damn fine cars.

@scroggs: Mr. Zilla (No relation to Ben), your old-school rally pr0n is always welcome. I don't know where you've found so much of this awesome stuff, but I'm jealous.

@skaycog-live,love,drink!: Skaycog, keep this up, and I'm going to fall in love with you, A Strolling Player's marriage proposals be damned!

I stand by my belief that automakers need to get back to the idea of these wild, crazy, way-over-the-top concepts. Not because it provides us with something to drool over, not because we'll hope they build them, but because it's an inspiration.

I'm starting to think that Hyundai is about to show up as a new advertiser on Jalopnik... otherwise, I can't come up with any reason whatsoever that anyone would think the Jalopniverse would be even slightly interested enough in this car-thing to justify multiple posts about it.

@vwminispeedster, pronounded Si-trow-in: I'm thinking that might apply by the time the next generation rolls around. The Genesis suffers from HorrendouslyBadGrilleitis, and that must be repaired so that the car doesn't look like a bad Chinese knockoff of a luxury car. I have MORE respect for Hyundai now, but....
