@Murilee Martin: Guess I probably should have actually looked at Page 3 before posting. I would have replied to this comment! See my comment down just a bit :)
A carmaker, name of Toyota,
@Charles_Barrett - Now with Variable-Valve Timing: Nope, you're absolutely right. I actually tend to use third-person plural myself. I think it's the fact that it just seems so Russian... and the print looks like it was done with stick-on letters or something.
If and when LeMons Canada (it should be called Hell Frozen Over, methinks) happens, I sincerely hope to be entering. And I'm glad to hear my plans for a Fox-bodied car are not as mad as I feared.
@f*cking engineerd: No, virulent anti-Americanism is always in fashion. You should know that by now!
This was the engine that first popped into my head when Jeremy Clarkson made his comment to the effect of, "How do they manage to get so little power out of an engine?" about the Murderer's Camaro.
Murilee, you filthy socialist, you've now convinced me to partake of capitalism, and head to my nearest Chapters in search of this book.
@Mike the Dog will work for a Preview Button!: Nah, you're safe, I'm busy watching Bugs Bunny.
@MikeHerbst: I think it's great that you're comfortable enough with us that you can admit that.
I haven't had anywhere NEAR enough Breakfast Scotch to understand that, but Captain Liverspots consistently makes me laugh, so I have no objections to his victory with a comment I don't get.
@elwood: You know, having driven a lot of recent Fords, GMs and Chryslers, Ford is making excellent interiors. I'd say, in the non-luxury segment, they're probably the company who is closest to Volkswagen on the quality of their interiors. They're nicer than Toyotas and Nissans by quite a bit.
@rlj676-Carbon Footprint Size - Clownshoe: You know, that alludes to a much bigger point. If manufacturers were REALLY serious about maximizing efficiency out of a hybrid, why wouldn't they make a diesel hybrid? A "best of both worlds" scenario like that would take away much of the argument of hybrid vs. clean diesel.
@skierpage: Which kinda backs up my point. It's hard for BigPanda to make a convincing argument that hybrids are an intelligent alternative, when the argument is made by someone who fits one of two categories:
@philipmein: Give me examples. Find me an identical car that's made both in Germany and Mexico, and let's compare them. I can't think of a single one, but if you've got one, and can prove that the factory in Mexico, all other factors excluded, produces shitty cars, I'll concede the point.
@BigPanda: Uh. Right. You switched from an Expedition to a hybrid. Sorry, that pretty much excludes you from being qualified to contribute valid, relevant life stories. If you're capable of making that big of a switch without a problem, you didn't need the Expedition in the first place, and therefore probably aren't…
@BushAutoBlog: WWSMW... What Will Scott Monty Wreck?
@Michael Ugarte: Pics as proof. Particularly if you're the one who snapped the photo.
@Ray Wert: Am I going to have to split you two up? Do you need to go to your rooms? Do you need time outs?
@Buffalopundit: We're talking about FORD here, not Chrysler. Try and keep up.
