We already have a pretty good idea what a bald Archer would look like.

Extremely happy with this decision. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the space season but that was mostly because the characters seemed closer to their original versions (as opposed to the previous season where Pam was Archer’s BFF, Lana was a princess, and Cyrill was a Nazi). This is a snarky article considering the second season pretty much abandoned the juvenile humour and became Star Trek fan fic (which it does very well).

It’s probably also a little bit of him wanting to fuck off Fox, as he’d been vocal about moving his properties once the contracts were up so he no longer was associated with or enriched the shitbag Murdoch and company. Now that the production company is separate and the distribution deal was up, it was easy.

There is no way that damn banner survived all those long years.

I think the writer was saying that Fox couldn’t fit into its schedule until 2020. So Hulu is picking it up instead, presumably sooner than Fox could have? 

Well, they say no one watches TV anymore anyways.

I’m assuming the decision has more to do with Disney now owning both The Orville and Hulu, and Fox TV not wanting to have to pay extra to air it, which makes it a less lucrative program for them.

I’m a fan and I don’t particularly care if they recast Data. Spiner himself said that he was aging out of the role 20 years ago. In principle, it’s not much different than recasting the TOS roles for the 2009 movie or Disco.

I think with CGI that Spiner’s age isn’t necessarily a problem. I don’t think fans want him replaced with some young hottie unless Spiner specifically okays it!
