You’d compare the polestar 2 against other similarly priced EV sedans like the model 3

This this this. A gasser that does 0-60 in 7s is probably accelerating at no faster than a 10 second pace the way most normal folks drive. Hardly anyone is matting the throttle in normal driving.

This is the correct answer.

The only answer that matters is Red Barchetta, by Rush.

No doubt higher energy prices percolate through the economy, which is why I mentioned “direct” cost to me.

This happens way too often when I’m on my bike. Thanks for stopping, pal, but I don’t know that the guy coming the other direction is going to stop. I’m not putting my life in his hands. Besides, I was timing the gap behind you!

Well it’s obvious. He’ll probably raise 30 grand from a GoFundMe, and get a new car through insurance, so he’ll net out with a bunch of cash. It’s just the latest kind of grift.

The direct cost to my wife and I of this increase is zero, because we’ve made choices. We live walking distance to work for her. I cycle to work most days. We bought an EV that I use on the days I don’t cycle to work. (Sometimes I don’t feel like doing a 33-mile round trip commute in the rain.)

They certainly felt the terror of flying straight down, though. :(

Dude, you’re doing yeoman’s work for the oil companies here by calling it a tax, when it isn’t.

These had better be ex-police officers.

+1 on Guenther. He’s my favorite “character” on the show. Would love to have a beer with that guy.

Proof that gasoline is still not expensive enough.

I’ll have to check this out. I prefer MotoGP to F1, as I find the racing more interesting. Having the pole isn’t nearly as much as a lock on a win in MotoGP. And it’s more visually dynamic with the bikes constantly leaning in and out of corners.

It's because most voters are also drivers, who see crashes like that and think "There but for the grace of god go I." So they won't vote for politicians that promise to take driving seriously, nor will they vote to convict when they are on juries trying these types of cases.

Thanks. That definitely makes it worse.

Is there something missing from the screenshot? Because that’s not an NDA, it’s a general release ensuring BKH that once you are made whole for the stolen payment you agree not to take any further action.

What’s this about expensive gas? I haven’t noticed as I commute to work on my bicycle, or in my Leaf when I’m stuck driving.

Yeah, this is not a good time to buy an EV. You can buy a lot of expensive gas for what the dealer markups will be given supply constraints and a sudden spike in buyer interest.

The “scaled down facilities” suggests to me that they want dealers to sell the EVs at EV-specific locations, rather than at the same dealership as the ICE vehicles are sold.
