Personally, I have enjoyed all of the Terminator films.
Personally, I have enjoyed all of the Terminator films.
I liked the movie. It’s a shame Cameron is too busy shooting Avatar 2 through 10, despite never having written a script for the first one.
Blu-Rays!
Hey Blu-Rays, it’s great, let’s dig in!
I would say his work on Supreme is a wonderful tribute to Silver-Age Superman, as well as a rebuke to the grim ‘n’ gritty trend (which he had a hand in starting).
I think some of his early DC work radiates with love for the characters but he was clearly always annoyed with the self imposed limitations on mainstream comics. His Swamp Thing run is like the ideal balance between sincere appreciation and experimentation.
Phil Lamarr as Malefic has been a great addition & he and David Harewood work well together (Harewood is underratedly one of the best ArrowVerse actors). The big conversion scene was rushed but they both sold the hell out of it.
This particular story about the Joker is a neat reminder about how many people really wanted to hate the Joker and were really disappointed not everyone felt the same way.
They’re really the highlight of this season. Connor Leslie’s Donna Troy is also great, but she has been written really mopey lately.
I’m glad to hear it. This season has been hit or miss but, overall, it’s still an enjoyable show and I look forward to the madness to come.
Fascinating how the Marvel people just cannot abide the fact that not everybody in the world loves Marvel films and some people actually want to see something other than franchise movies. Here’s Martin Scorsese, one of our greatest living directors, having to go to Netflix to get his movie made, and people just…
You had me at “David Wain”
Hodder and I almost banged into each other in the aisle of a horror con’s dealer room, and upon seeing me, his exact words were: “You’re one big motherfucker.” (We were about the same height and width, but he’s all muscle while I’m all limbs and lard.)
We proceeded to take a picture where he’s strangling me,…
How exactly did he “ruin” the movies that he was in that weren’t already ruined by the scripts and direction?
“I agree.”
As a comic book nerd, I appreciate that he seems to get the source material, too.
Look guys, I’m not gonna defend Norm on this one, but just... just come right out and actually criticise him, okay? Just say that he said some dumb shit if that’s what you want to say. You really don’t have to smother everything in layers of knowing snark and eye-rolling irony to the point where it’s incomprehensible.
Man, you have your finger on the pulse of the modern left. We are constantly looking to James Carville for guidance in these troubling times, so anything that lessened his stature would be pretty devastating.
This site and others connected to it like Gizmodo and Kotaku were at the front of pushing these ridiculous conversations and hand wringing, so don’t try to back away from it now. You were all in on the dangers of a Joker movie a week ago.
I’m surprised that Banana Splits are considered obscure to people who professionally report on pop culture. FWIW, they were not animatronic, just guys in costumes. The show was peppered with running cartoons such as Gulliver’s Travels, my first introduction to Swift. The Dickies covered the theme song. They have a dece…
I’m not sure The Banana Splits are as obscure as you think they are, Alex. Not a Dickies fan?
