This is actually one of my favorite movies. I think it’s safe to say it flew way under the radar for not just Owen Wilson fans (who might not like it, because it’s quite a departure from his usual quirky comedies), but for indie fans in general.

Probably preaching to the choir here, but speaking of King adaptations you really owe it to yourself to watch the original Salem’s Lot miniseries that originally ran on (CBS?) in the 70's with David Soul, James Mason and Lance Kerwin, if you haven’t already. Scary as hell for a network miniseries from that timeframe. I

I know a lot of people use this show as a punching bag of sorts while wondering how it has survived so long but Supernatural has always been one of my favorite shows. The characters are always fun to watch and play off of each other well, every season has a handful of standout episodes, and the formula the story has

certified country royalty Billy Ray Cyrus”

I’d love to listen to an oral history podcast about A Minute with Stan Hooper, another one of Norm’s sitcoms that was cancelled after 6 episodes. Apparently there was this whole plan for the show to take a huge dark twist as Stan figured out his wife had been murdered (or something). That would have been insane to

Thing is, in 1999 audiences left theaters satisfied, almost giddy, with Episode 1. Darth Maul was the character with the biggest impact and the climatic battle ended a 16 year light saber battle drought. It was in the years that followed that the nerd echo chamber exploded and public derision for the film came to the

I haven’t started the Refn series yet, but its mere existence really illuminated the way online media has changed in recent years.

Yeah, you have to be in the right mood. But if you *are* in the right mood it's a great contrast to the frenetic and cut-laden style of most modern movies and TV.

I’m just saying: it’s not a true finale until my boy, Ragman, makes his triumphant return. 10 episodes to bring him back, Arrow writers, you know what to do.

There’s no way Jason is the real Gargoyle King... that would imply that next week Trevor Stines will actually be allowed to speak.

I actually liked it quite a bit. Enough to see it once by myself, once with my wife, and once with my daughter. They absolutely did try to shove too much story into the movie, but it still ended up being more faithful to the comics than Del Toro’s Hellboy movies. And their portrayal of Gruagach, and Baba Yaga were

Still love that adaptation.

His club house that everyone forgot about.

I think Riverdale is somewhere in upstate or western New York, between NYC and Quebec (who the maple syrup trade is with)

Meh. AV Club’s total 180 on Joss Whedon was pretty weak. After Whedon got caught cheating on his wife, AVC immediately started acting like they never liked him and how his female characters were actually all super duper sexist as if we weren’t celebrating Buffy Week 4 days earlier. If there was any specific moment

Oh sure, he’s got enough time to write and direct a film, but not enough to clear those damn bricks off his lawn!

The copyrighted statue is one thing (someone probably got fired for that blunder); but I’m talking about this dipshittery:

Titans: Actually a good show.
