Rian Johnson was out of his elements in this one. Say what you will about J.J. Abrams and The Force Awakens but J.J. has a lot of experience handling big budget blockbusters franchises.

Taking over the galaxy is all about technology... the starkiller blasted the Republic to crap. Connecting 2 people is a new power though, do we know how hard it is to do?

He took over most of the galaxy, corrupted Ben Solo, and connected the two of them together across space. That’s just what we’ve been told.

So, bad movie making.

I forgot to mention the Poe and Hux dialogue at the beginning of the movie. Totally the wrong tone for a Star Wars movie. This isn’t The Avengers. Poe isn’t Tony Stark.

It’s fantasy/Sci-Fi so I know I have to be forgiving of some plot holes or inconsistencies or coincidences... I was cool with that stuff in Rogue One. It was just too much this time.
