I like how Kris Meeke is destroying it in a partial season in a car that’s no longer being developed.
I’ve done this before, pigeons, sea gulls, sheep, a shit load of grouse just in the middle of the road, cows, pheasants, hare, squirrels.
Yeah, I do just see this as a very clever cruise control, and I’d treat it like one too if I owned a Tesla. Like with my regular cruise control, I always have my finger near the off button and my feet somewhere where I can get to the pedals as quickly as possible. I can’t believe people are putting their life into…
I know, I know, but there’s a lot of German money behind it is all.
Apart from you know, Mercedes-Benz...
Actually planes do have auto-land. Not that this comparison is really applicable at all, apart from the name. The sky is largely empty, roads aren’t.
You better like this thing, I’ve applied to like 13 jobs at the plant this is made in, in England, and with the whole Brexit thing, I’m worried about keeping a job I don’t even have.
This would really annoy me if I bought a 911R for driving, because like $800k profit, BUT I WANT THE CAR? I genuinely feel sorry for the proper drivers of these things, the 911 market makes me sick.
Worked for Cummins, and they liked the idea of electric trucks, but in the current technology the batteries would weigh double the payload, aka not viable for over a decade at least.
My biggest problem with the 1 Series going FWD is that I really want one, and if it’s FWD? I won’t buy it, simple as that. I want a small car with a door at the back and RWD, and it’s going to be a damn shame when the smallest thing I can buy is an F30 3 series, because they’re just too fat.
And the British too. I liked Cuba.
Idk, Chris Harris seemed to drift an F40 pretty well.
I suppose my environment is a bit different living in Wales, even the dual carriageways here are quite bendy, so you need to be alert.
So why didn’t he take control? Did he trust the Autopilot that much? I don’t know, if I spotted the situation before the computer did, I’d like to think I’d take control of the situation, and not see if the car would save me from smashing into a trailer at speed. All speculation though, I know.
Also this is the base of the new Citroën WRC car, 370hp from next year!
Except it didn’t have turbos when it was in the Metro! AustinRover went for displacement rather than turbocharging in Group B, didn’t work for them, as cool as 6R4s are.
Yeah, now I think of it, a WRC GT3 with Le Mans gearing? That could be interesting. Think the WRC one makes about 300hp too, with a big restrictor.
It just looks like a 911?
Wouldn’t even get close, the WRC GT3 RS is slower than WRC cars, and this is a WRC car on steroids.
