So this was people walking away from their cars with the engine still running and they’d creep away? I mean I drive an Iveco Daily at work with the same gearbox and a similar shifter. I mean, it’s not hard to put it in park when you stop, in fact, it’s the first thing I do.

Bit off topic but I can’t believe they’re having problems getting airbags? Like my E46 is booked into tomorrow for a replacement, my mate got his done a few months ago in another E46, seems strange.

My Mercedes Sprinter has the same steering wheel as the last generation S-Class.

They’ve kinda done that with the 330e which is a plug in hybrid but looks like a standard 3 series.

Honestly, I see so many of them in the UK, not even particularly wealthy parts, they’re everywhere. I’m even sick of the sight of i8s.

Ours are normally limited to just under 100mph to be honest, never see them doing more than 90 on a motorway either. They’re the 5 tonne versions though, so they’re pretty heavy even with a 190hp V6.

European of the British type here, our Ambulances are usually turbo diesel V6 Mercedes Sprinters.

Tbf, the E-class is very much a Stuttgart car too.

I think it’s really great to see that Prodrive badge back on the front of a Subaru, even if it is just for this record attempt. I still miss the SWRT.

I can’t really imagine something being that quick to 60mph as the RS6, my 230hp 330i feels pretty quick, but it probably looks like it’s being powered by a lawn mower engine compared to them too.

Mate who lives in the same town as me has already had his done, so I doubt it’ll be a problem either for me.

Yep, it’s only the passenger side airbags that have been recalled. My car has at least 8 airbags too.

The only thing I can think of, is the E38 is a bit older than the E39 and E46 so might have E36 equivalent air bags? My mate has a 1999 E36 Touring (I know, very late) and his hasn’t been recalled.

Actually my mates already had his E46 recalled and replaced at our local dealer. I was with him and she checked mine and said my recall was out too, but my car was off the road a the time.

Funny, I just got my recall notice through my door this morning. I already knew it needed it mind, checked with my local dealer.

My only response to the fact my 3 series touring is too small, is get a 5 series touring. That’s what I’d do anyways.

No, but it holds my two malamutes in the back.

Does that make my 2001 E46 touring an SUV? Damn, I knew I was imagining things when I scraped the bottom of my standard height car on a drive way.

I’ve had a Mk1 Golf GTi cylinder head in my dishwasher, still seems fine.

Bless, I work in that part of Wales as a Supermarket delivery driver. That weekend had quite nice weather compared to the normal shit I put up with.
