They may have improved it by now, his was a 2007 1.4 SXi, the worst part for me was the ride, the dampers were so stiff it felt like they were made from concrete, it was an awful car. I have heard the new VXR is a quite a weapon though.

My Dad had a Corsa, it was awful, literally the worst riding car I’ve ever been in, and it ended up frying it’s own ECU. He now has a Fiesta, that’s a lovely little car.

He built it himself, think he said it had a BSA engine, can’t remember what the frame was? Norton of some sort, I can’t remember.

The A-Class is the worst car I’ve ever driven, even with another engine, I’d rather walk. Sorry, I just hate them.

I’m a Uni student, living with 3 other lads, we’re all petrolheads, and between the 4 of us, we own 9 of them. Two e46s, 4 e36s and 3 e30s. All varying degrees of engines and power, in every body style except a 4 door sedan (although a close friend who’s car is currently parked outside has an e34), I own a E46 330i

I live in Wales, I used it 3 times today. The limiter, not as much.

I generally try and find specific types of cars if I’m honest. I live in the UK, so if you park next to say, a nice Volvo, or BMW/Mercedes estate, they’re generally owned by people who like/care about there cars (obviously still a risk they’re idiots, but it’s about reducing risk right?), so the park next to a nice

I really hope you’re American, because it’ll cost a shit load of money to export your car to Wales to assault my rusty old 3 series that I don’t really care about bodywork wise.

I agree with this so much, I always park my 2001 BMW next to something like a 2015 BMW/Mercedes/something nice (but not a BMW X1 or X3 since they’re driven by braindead people), they’re probably not going to want to damage the corner of their doors on my crappy 15 year old paintwork, seems to work for the most part.

Funny, I didn’t know calling someone an Irish cunt was racist. Better change my mates nickname in my phone from Irish Prick, or not, because it’s just a fact.

No I don’t.

It’s 2016 get over it, “wagons” have had slanted tailgates since the BMW E30 touring came out.

Thank you Mr Teetor, I’ll appreciate it even more next time I drive the 400 miles home and use my cruise control on the motorways. Or next time I drive one of the Mercedes Sprinters with cruise control at work. Brilliant thing.

I’m also from the UK and a lot of cars I’ve driven have had cruise control, granted a lot of them have been older BMWs, but my parents Subaru, and my friends Citroen C3 has it too. They don’t use it however to be honest.

Exactly, in the UK we have average speed camera zones where road works are being carried out, and they’re normally set to 50mph, it’s so annoying when the traffic can’t keep to 50 and I keep having to overtake them, despite me staying at the exact same speed.

Oh for fuck sake.

Exactly!

The Clio V6 and the Renault 5 turbo are the best hatches, even if their hatch is just linking to an engine, but who cares. Both made by Alpine too.

Fortunately the only experience I’ve had so far of thick, thick fog was on the M1 in North Yorkshire at about 1am. The road was quiet enough for me to not be too worried, but I was doing about 40/50mph and absolutely bricking it with every light on I could find on my car. People were still coming past very quickly, I

You say the Renault hatches aren’t quite Alpines, I think the Clio v6 built there was definitely batshit enough to be considered an Alpine, even if it didn’t have the badge. They maybe called RenaultSport nowadays, but Alpine hasn’t really went away, so glad the name is coming back too though.
