Note to self, buy a Plus 8 before they stop making them. That BMW V8.

Well this comment section is fucking ugly, what a bunch of knobs.

In fact, my mate just bought a vRS TDi that was FWD and he got quite a nice discount, thanks to this 4x4 version coming out, and because of all this diesel stuff. His was a manual though, so it’s cool.

Hundreds probably, it’s the default junction style we use on motorways.

Roundabout bridges aren’t silly at all, they’re all over the UK too, although I’m not sure if we have any quite as circular as this one.

And £100 for a bonnet from a parts yard and now you can’t tell...

I almost bought an E34 540i manual touring instead of my E46, but it was £3000 and I couldn’t quite justify with the amount of 330is I could get for around £2000, (£3k was just above my budget).

It had 12 months MOT when I bought it, the only things that needed attention before it was sold was the brake pipes, which are a pain in the arse on an E46 but not bad for something that’s 15 years old.

I think that’s the thing, the manuals are still rarer over here then the autos, but I didn’t struggle getting my car. That probably shapes my thought though, I just see it as an old slightly crappy non-M BMW. I love my car, but I wouldn’t of paid an extra $10,000 for it.

To be fair, it’s because I’m in the UK, and that’s just the UK market, I get you don’t get these things in America. But it just seems like silly money for a 16 year old BMW that isn’t that special. (aka it’s not an M car)

Modifying cars doesn’t add value to them though, no matter how much you put into them, this shouldn’t be worth much more than a regular 323, and I’d definitely say less than the types of 330i you’re able to get over there.

You can get e46s with manual rear windows?!

No, no I totally get that $8k would be probably be okay price for this over there, and yeah, bit of a maths fail by me on the 10x bit, still an extra $10,000ish is a bit silly. I’d even say $8k is too much, but the market is different over there I get it.

To be fair there's a guy on the UK auto trader trying to sell a 2001 330i very similar spec to mine, and the same age for £5000+ which is pretty laughable. £2-3 is the standard for my car second hand over here. Mine has a dodgy repair job on the bonnet which has rusted, hence the cheaper price.

It’s more the fact it’s the exact same car. For so much cheaper. I know the market doesn’t work with grey imports and what not over there. But how can the same 15 year old product be worth 10x the amount in the US?

Crack Pipe, I don’t care how nice it is. I have a 2001 E46 330i touring, manual, in the UK, I paid £1750 for it, 7 months ago.

Really? I mean come on, the guy bends over to pick up his camera when a 330hp VW Polo is coming towards him. It’s not like Jari-Matti drove around trying to mow him down.

I think it’s a screen grab from a gopro unfortunately. Was shown in the WRC highlights I watched earlier.

No, he shouldn’t have.

His whole career in general has been unfortunate really, he deserved more than just that 1 F1 victory too. I feel for him. After all, if I was an F1 driver (I can dream) you’d struggle to stop me from rallying too.
