Yeah I don't mind at all driving those long distances, it's if you encounter traffic jams around major cities, they're the worst, fortunately I haven't actually driven on the M25 yet since I just normally take the M4 or M1 straight in to London. It has however taken me 5 hours to get from Worcester to Sheffield passed

Oh god, Escort cabbie, crack pipe, crack pipe, crack pipe. My brother had 2 of these a few years ago and both got set on fire, I was actually happy to hear this info, 2 less on the roads, urgh.

Holy shit! I really, really like the idea of going to see rallycross until I typed Lydden Hill into google maps. It's almost in France! Respect for going to that, I'd probably muster up the agony of driving that far to see rallycross if I wasn't a student and had a bit of spare money! I mean I go to Uni in Swansea so

Yep, it's rather narrow over here, I don't know how anybody could live more than 70 miles from the sea! (I'm from a seaside town) I'm actually from the part of England with the fewest race tracks, the North East, which just has Croft, but now that I'm just 130 miles further south in South Yorkshire, all of a sudden

Yes sure. Okay.

He only competed in 1 rally last WRC last season, so six points is pretty damn good!

Not particularly, he's a good (not great, not the best ever, but good) rally driver but he's not world class, I didn't say he was. To score points in the WRC and to finish second in Rally America several times is proof enough. And so what if he's a marketing machine? He spends these peoples money on rally cars,

Fair enough, I'll be honest I work at the turbo place so we're not the biggest experts on what our parent company is doing, I just assumed if I'm honest. I do know our Holset turbos power most of our competitors engines though.

Well not entirely, they're still used in DAF trucks as well as many busses. It's only Volvo, Scania and MAN that produce their own engines, the other manufacturs generally use Cummins. Also our turbos (Holset) are on pretty much every heavy duty diesel engine sold in Europe, including Scania and Volvo.

Dude I work for Cummins in the UK, they literally have one of the largest market shares of diesel engines on the planet.

Yeah, MotoGP is fantastic, we've lost the free-to-air coverage this season in the UK though unfortunately so I can't watch races live anymore. I think with the driving thing, I've discussed it with some Americans I know online, they were amazed at how many tracks were within a couple of hours of me (like 50% of the

Got more people to realise it even exists... Yeah he crashes, so did this bloke called Colin, yeah this Colin guy was a bit faster than wor Ken, but crashing doesn't make you a bad rally driver. I mean it's not like he crashes as often as Robert Kubica!

I'm European and I support this message.

Yes they do. (Not as a championship contender, because even he wouldn't but he's definitely competitive)

Oh fuck you, I'm sick of people who can't drive for shit judging a good racing driver because he happened to bring in sponsorship. He's done more for the sport than anyone in the WRC has in the last 15 years!

Because not everybody can fucking win a fucking world fucking championship fucking event you fucking halfwit! He's quick and successful in his national championship and a high tier of RallyCross! He's a pretty damn good drive, he's just not Sebastiens Loeb and Ogier, or Finnish!

Can confirm this, I'm a native of the North East and have a few friends working there, they cut back in the recession, but now I'm pretty sure they've employed more people than they let off during the recession thanks to more cars than ever being built there.

Hey look Jalopnik's showing a car, let's put random pictures of cars that it looks nothing like claiming they're identical!

Something to do with the diesel injection system, I think it's getting a bit of fuel starvation under heavy load, doesn't sound pretty, yet I get 47 USMPG on the way to work. It also has various other electronic warnings and stuff, oh and the heat shield is hanging off the exhaust, I should probably do something about

Yeah, I currently commute 40 miles a day to and from work. I also go to Uni in South West Wales despite from being from the North East of England, so I'm doing over 300 miles (in one trip) every couple of months, I use my car literally all the time, had it a year and a half and I've done almost 30,000 miles.
