Like Wayne's World, its a good mix of SNL style character based broad comedy and excellent use of setting.

Meyers doesn't play him so I can't say for sure how involved he was in the writing of that character, but if he did had a hand in it, I'd give him credit for creating the two most underrated comedic characters of the 90's, Del Preston and the scottish dad from Axe Murderer.
