Green 1972 Plymouth Fury III. My dad "downsized" into this from a '66? Mercury Park Lane.

VW GTI. I've always wanted one. Bare bones, no frills, light weight and extremely tossable.
So I'm in the car with my seven year old son. I see a newer Nissan Maxima with the big, shiney, aftermarket chrome rims. I say, hey Conner, you know what they call those rims on that car? They're called a big waste of money. He laughed so hard he almost threw up. That's me, being a dad.
Let me see which makes better business sense. Pay all or part of this guys $500 deductible and have a grateful customer and good PR, or, not spen a small amount of money, piss the customer off and get scads of bad PR. Hmmmm, which would be the better way to go in a down economy? Better hire a few PR specialists and…
What my dad drove five days a week, was a company cargo van for a dental supply business. For a long time, it was a Dodge, then he changed companies and drove Fords, E-150's usually. His truck was always overloaded with parts & pieces, as he repaired as well as installed pieces for dentists. His company finally…
@Maxichamp: The U.S. would be able to seriously lower the trade deficit with the apparently huge export market for stop & yield signs as well as traffic signals. Cities keep putting more & more up, so i know they are producing vast quantities of traffic signals around here!
My dad drove this 1966 (?) Mercury Park Lane when I was a kid. I still remember coasting into a gas station in the early 70's after running out of gas in the thing. Dad would boast that he could have all four kids, a pop-up camper towed behind & a 14' row-boat turned turtle on the roof, along with enough gear in the…
@komododave: It's been awhile, but it sure does make the trip go by quickly :)
@clevemire: Thank you, I just threw up on my new lap top. You owe me $650.
1986 Dodge Ram Wagon. Slant Six, 4 on the floor. No power, gearing that made it slower, touchy brakes and no air conditioning. A purely horrible truck. My dad bought it new, passing over a Ford E-150 'cause it was $1,000 more, but it had a V-8, automatic & C/A. My Mom bitched about that truck the entire time we owned…
Not to get all Trekkie and shit, but isn't the Packard 426 the same car Kirk & Spock attempted to drive in "A Piece Of The Action", season 2, episode 17?
Is this available for PC's or just stand alone game systems? I just bought a new laptop, and if this system can handle it, I'm in the market for a new driving game.
Oh! I so do want this car to be good! I'll be in the market for a new or slightly used small car in the next 1-3 years, and this little beauty fills the bill perfectly. 40MPG! Handles well, looks stunning and can hold me, my stuff & the wife & kiddies as well. Absofuckinlutely this is going to get a test drive when it…
I know this is slightly off topic, but the picture of a 2011 Grand Cherokee reminded me of this from today's paper, [www.toledoblade.com]
It would probably be easier, and less expensive, to take a US Pontiac G-8 and have a talented body shop fabricate a wagon body on an existing sedan rather than deal with all of the Federal & State red tape that bringing over an Ausie wagon would generate. Other than that, I say, Bully on Ya'!
@twitchykun(lvl. 75 Yellow Fever Vector)): Nerd Alert!!
Suhwheet! Just in time! All four of the struts need replacing on my Mazda Protege'.
@fodder650: Um, I'm good, but not that good.
@clinto: One, don't use the word "retarded" or Sarah Palin will be all over your ass about it.
